The debut of Fox's Emmy-winning "Futurama" during the Adult Swim block Sunday brought in stellar ratings in the adults 18-34 and men 18-34 age groups. The adult 18-34 ratings increased by 33% while the men 18-34 ratings increased by a whopping 43%. Cartoon Network ranked #3 in its timelot on ad-supported cable in the men 18-34 age group.

They don't say exactly how they rated, but this still looks good. I think this was up against Sealab and ATHF/Brak reruns following new episodes of Home Movies and Baby Blues at this point last year. Hopefully this will boost the weeknight run's ratings as well as the Sunday one.

Well more good news for CN it seems.

They should've left it at 10, and I think it would've gotten better ratings. This still sounds pretty good though, especially the part with Cartoon Network being number three with men 18-34.

According to the source of those numbers(A press release by Turner) the "Adult 18-34" rating came in at 1.0, and the "Men 18-34" came in at 0.8. Overall, the Sunday AS did a 0.8 and a 0.5 for these two demographics. Since CN isn't going out of their way to stress that other demographics boosted these numbers even further, I'm guessing that Futuramas premier came in somewhere between 1.9 and 2.1 overall....unless some more numbers turn up to change this, of course.

It's good to hear Adult Swim is boosting it's ratings. Futurama was a good addition to the line-up. Let's hope the ratings stay high!

I just hope some of Futurama's success rubs off on Lupin.

I'm so glad it's on CN now, and during the week, too! I can finally watch it. I almost never watch TV on sundays even thought at night there is all sorts of good stuff that I want to see. But that's just how it is sometimes.

And here's a little question: Am I the only person who watches ASC while sober/straight? Hehehe, no pressure. ;) ;)
