So it’s finally happened. “Inu-Yasha” is on four nights a week. Hell, yeah! Hopefully, I can do these editing reports every night, but if I don’t manage to snag a TV up here at college, I’ll warn you.
Anyway, what was editing in tonight’s episode? Nope. Then again, this episode didn’t really need any, did it?
Anime v. Manga: Okay, this is where the anime takes liberties with the manga. I remember some people saying the director the anime couldn’t write a love story. Well, he must’ve thought so himself, because he cut out yet another intimate moment between Inu-Yasha and Kagome. Remember the scenes after the little incident with Kikyo, where Kagome got pissed with Inu-Yasha and went back to her own time, came back, overheard Inu-Yasha’s idea of two-timing, and knocked his ass down with a single word? Not found in the manga at all. Instead, Kagome tries to get back to the well but ends up being stopped by Inu-Yasha, who explains to her how both she and Kikyo mean so much to him. Kagome accepts his explanation, including how Inu-Yasha no longer thinks of Kagome as Kikyo’s replacement. Inu-Yasha then says that he likes Kagome’s scent, but she’s fallen asleep. -_-‘ As you can see, while the anime was funnier, the manga was more relevant to the story and made a little more sense.
Next week…no, tomorrow! Tomorrow, we introduce the lovely demon exterminator Sango, voiced by Kelly Sheridan. You gotta love a girl who looks just as hot as Kagome yet can kick so much more ass with a boomerang the size of Inu-Yasha’s ego. Look forward to it!
