Killtacular

As mentioned a while back, there is a new series coming to CN called Robotboy, for a limited time. It's a co-production between Cartoon Network US, Cartoon Network UK, and Alphanim, a french animation studio.
Since that announcement, there's been absolutely NO information about the show, but I was finally able to snag some today.

The show is 26 episodes (split into two 13 minute stories each), and centers on three eight-year old kids, named Eric, Lola, and.. Chuckles (that kid's gonna have issues later in life). Eric receives a boxed package from his uncle Mishimo, a Japanese scientist. Inside the box is a prototype toy robot with battle capabilities, that Mishimo shipped to him to hide from his enemies, who want their hands on the technology.

(the Powerpuff eyes, I believe, are just the result of them vectorizing the artwork for the flyer I nabbed this info from)
Made from experimental technology, and young as it is, Robotboy lacks judgement, experience, and responsibility. Soon the kids discover that Robotboy needs them as much as they need Robotboy, when Mishimo's enemies track Robotboy down. It's up to Robotboy to save the day...and yadda yadda.

There is no official airdate for the show in either country, but when Cartoon Network US decides on a time to air it, they will announce it in their February initiative, most certainly.
I have mixed feelings about the series. I can only judge the designs and plot. Which are.. okay.. but it all depends on the execution. I seriously hope CN picks good English writers to handle the series, because Robotboy IS a comedic series, and a botched translation could ruin the show entirely (if the show has any humor to it at all, that is).
So good luck on the endeavor, but I'll have to see the final product before I can pass judgement.
