But feel silly because of your age? ^__^;;; Well, I'm attached to an item, but I'm not embarressed. :D
It was a couple of Sundays ago, after searching Best Buy for the "Nightmare Before Christmas" DVD, and not finding it, I was pretty dissapointed. (Even though I have it on Video. ^_^;;; ) Me and my mum went to the mall to do some more shopping, when I spotted him... It was love at first site. I dragged my mom into Hot Topic, and pointed to it. It was a bag in the shape of Jack Skeelington's Head! :D I didn;t have enough money to buy him after I had just bought my sketch book, but my momm was nice enough to pay for him (And I had her pay for a T-shirt and Book too. :p)
Scince then, me and Jack have been unseperble(sp?) I use him as a pillow (He's all plushy and soft! -^.^- ) and I carrie him everywhere... untill this week. :( Mom says that Jack is looking dirty from where I take him every where. I'm affraid to put him in the washing machine, he might get torn up. His mouth is threaded on. O_o;;

Well I would be attached to anything From that movie too.
My things are jackets. I have two that I really really love.
One is an RCA dogs jacket with the dogs on the back and leather arms on the jacket.
And the other one is a Jurassic Park (first movie) jacket.
a story about that one is - When my wife and I were then just dating I took her to a Star Trek convention (great date huh?) and she put on the Jurassic Park jacket and I had on a Star Trek 10-forward jacket. Well she told me on the way home that someone offered her $1000 for that Jurassic Park jacket and she said no because she didn't want me to dump her. She sure knew how much I liked that jacket.
I have never seen anyone with the same Jurassic Park jacket as I have.

I feel that way about most of my stuffed animals - especially the huge killer whale that I won at Busch Gardens a few years ago, the stuffed cow that I won at a fair last year, and my stuffed Hello Kitty. ^.^. Last summer, my family went to Washington DC and I brought the whale and the cow with me (...Don't look at me like that - they made pretty good pillows for the long car ride down there! :p)
This is coming from someone who is turning 20 in less than 3 months, lol :D So don't feel bad :)

Sometimes I become attached to items, even when I have no history with them. Once, we got a free AOL disk in a box of cereal and my father broke it into three or four pieces and threw it into the trash. I took it out of the trash and have kept it ever since.

I know, Don't you just love it? *__* The book I bought from Hot Topic was about the making of the movie. It had some of Tim Burtons original drawings in it. They're so beuatiful! ^_^

Hhhmm... I'll sugest that to my mom. I'm horrible at laundry. X__x;;

-^.^- I mainly have Frogs and Cats. I like them all very much, but I just have a bigger attachment to stuffed animals based off of cartoon charactors, like my beloved Talking Stitch doll, and of course, Jack (Even though he's not a plushie, just a plushie bag. ^_^;;; I would LOVE a Jack Plushie though! :D)
It's terrific that all you people are attached to something. But has anyone ever told you to 'get over' your item? My mom and sister think I'm childish, because of the things I do, (Wearing stuffed animals on my head, watching cartoons all day, Carrying Jack everywhere, ect.) But I'm only 14!! :( I think I really am just a child... Why is it that when you start acting like a 'normal' teenager, parents get upset and hate the fact your growing up too fast, but in my case, I try to be my kid-at-heart self, and they want me to act more 'mature'! :( It confuses me...
OK, when I was 13 I saw Balto. And it made me cry. And my little hormonal brain attached itself to that movie to the point where I couldn't get it out of my head. It was really something. I was locked onto the emotions it generated for a full week. Then, suddenly, it stopped and I looked back and thought, "Gee, that's a really stupid movie." Not a year later, mind you, a week later. Jeez I was glad when pre-adolescence was over.

Ooo, many things. Most of them entertainment based.
Back To The Future - Marty was EVERYTHING I wanted to be and that was so cool it was painful. He was a partial reason for me playing the guitar.
Blake's 7 - After my first real break up, I just watched the show constantly. I was a sad mess and it got me through a lot. I owe a lot to that show.
Final Fantasy 7 - Play the game and you'll understand!
Empire Strikes Back - What a film. Always touches me. The ending is so cool. Again, I went through an obsessive stage watching that as a feel good movie..
At the moment, I keep playing 'Requiem' from the Lord Of The Rings trailer. I'll be online here for 7 hours and it will be looping - stuck to that song like glue. Can't get enough of it..

Been there, done that. Got attached. :D Though it might be a little too soon to call this an "attachment," I have a feeling I'll be hanging on to my copy of Kingdom Hearts for a while. If I ever have any children, I'm going to tell them to put that game in the nursing home with me. :p
I also love my stuffed animal collection...I'm especially fond of my Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain dolls, a couple of small tigers, and an old, old Pink Panther. I absolutely refuse to get rid of him... I've had to rescue him from attics and garage sales a couple of times!
Ah yes, and I keep a lot of old sketches...they're not that great, but usually kind of funny. :p

Wow, You sound just like me. O_o;;; Scary... I LOVE my Kingdom Hearts game. It's what got me into my NBC craze in the first place.
I have an old Plucky Duck from Tiny Toon Adv. Doll. I was sooooooo attached to that when I was little. Even thought I don't carry him around anymore, I still like to keep him in my closet. ^_^;;
I also have a few sketches from Middle School I like to keep in my room. Half of them where on tests and stuff, so I had to rip them of the paper. ^_^;; But most of my pics I throw away.

My pony, Firefly. She's a stuffed toy version of a My Little Pony and I've had her since I was 5. Her coat's faded and her hair has fallen out, but she's still my most favorite thing in the world, even took her to college with me. :o The scene when "When She Loved Me" plays in Toy Story 2 really hits home because of Firefly. :)

I often get attached to various household items, and feel sad when they break or get thrown away. That is one of those feelings I developed at a very young age, but for some reason, never let go of.

object wise... it's everything I own. It all holds a place in my heart. I collect the oddest things and display them. Right now on my little shelf thing I built back in 7th grade shop class, I have assorted sci fi toys. Star Wars figures, Men In Black cards and my custom Agent Elle action figure, and a scully. Also a lucille ball "Lucy" ornament.
I am most attached to the blanket that was in my posession even before I was born/dumped on this planet by aliens.

Yes, my stuffed koala (no they're not bears!!). His name is Snooze and I take him everywhere. He is kind of a good luck charm and very cute! :D !

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried during that song...
And y'know, I still have roughly five tons of My Little Ponies in the attic. Not counting the acessories. :o :D

I cried there too. That whole song was SOOO well-done... that was really the moment where I thought computer animation had finally matured as a form with just as much emotional potential as traditional animation/live action.
