Do you exercise? How many hours do you spend in front of he computer? Do you consider yourself an active person?

all depends on my current job and/or schedule

I've been active all my life, being in sports of some kind or another. When I stopped sports somewhere in high school, I made frequent trips to the gym. I don't go nearly as much as I want to or should, but I'm a pretty fit and pretty active person. Yet I spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours at the comp, maybe more depending on what I'm doing online.

More active at uni, do quite a bit of walking and I'm pretty good with what I eat (aside from my need for PIZZA!) so I'd like to think I remain pretty fit..

I haven't been to the gym in a bit, which is annoying as my membership is being wasted and the pool is aching to be used!! Need to get back into that habit.. maybe this week, a work out would keep me warm in this cold weather!

Yes, I exercise a lot! I'm on a swim club so I practice six days of the week for 2 and a half hours each night. It is tough, but definitely rewarding. Plus, I do weight lifting to help keep in shape for the sport. I also do track as an extra tone-up for the swimming season! :D

Yup, mostly in swimming and dance. The dancing at our school has those reeeeeeaaaallllly active dances. You know them: we all collapse after every successful dance (and the unsuccessful ones as well ;)). Though my vegetation in front of the computer kinda balances the whole thing out. In fact, I think I was at exactly the same place I was two years ago! :D

1/1/2 hrs of gym 7 days a week. I was a fat kid when I was young. When I got to uni I just worked out and ate healthy.

Are you kidding, I probably lose like 10 pounds every time I go and play ball. I like to keep myself active, especially in the summer.

I try my hardest to be active, though I think I do look somewhat overweight. May just be my build, though. I do try to get out and play some sports. Today even, I went up to the basketball courts and played some ball with my brother.

Incidently, I've become more of a late night computer user, going anywhere from 10:00 to 2 or 3 A.M. Its become more of a habit now, because I feel like I can work better then.

When I was still in university, I used to play sport at least 5 days a week. Somedays I'd play bball for a couple of hours, and then go and play soccer for another hour or two straight afterwards.

Nowadays I don't know so many guys who are available to play with so often, so I hit the gym as often as work allows me.

I need activity. I could never just sit around all day on front of a computer, I'd just get fed up.

When I was in high school I was into all sorts of stuff. In 9th grade it was soccer, then when soccer season was over a lot of roller hockey (2 or 3 hours a night after school). In 10th it was just hockey. In 11th and 12th it was school from 8-3, XC or track from 3:15 - 5:30, then the gym from 6 - 8. Looking back, I guess I must have been some sort of maniac. Wish I could still do all that stuff. Now it's sleep 10 hours and the rest of the time divided between xbox, tv, and internet. In conclusion, no I am not an active person. I am a sloth. oh well

Am I an active person?

Yes I am. I do martial arts twice a week and a swim on a regular basis. Plu, I love going for long walks and hikes with friends and family. :)

Ya know, I don't know how I can keep a reasonably average figure (not fat, but not overly muscular, either - just average), since I spend so much of my day sitting or standing around.

I'd love to be more active. Seriously. Biking is a good choice for me - I used to bike ALL THE TIME. Now that my bike was stolen (argh), I walk a lot of places.

Thing is, with my busy schedule, and all my duties (work, school, artwork, internet stuff - yes, those are duties), I'm required to sit down for all that time.

I should be more active, and I definitely plan to.

Yep I'd say so, I lift weights and jog everyday aloing with all of the school crap and then when possible ski on the weekends. When I can't ski I'm usually still doing something outdoors so I got my weekends covered :p. I usually end up having to do all my brother's chores as well because he's so lazy (but then I get his money :D ) but yeah I do a lot in a day.

Yeah, I am. If I had a car, I'd probably be a lot less, but I'd still jog and bike.

Surely the definition 'active person' doesn't just include physical exercise - or doe sit? I play Badmington and cycle, but I also spend a lot of my free time in more cerebral pursuits like drawing and writing, as well a making easy money on e-bay.

My wife and I never seem to have a quiet moment as we're always busy - does that count? Or is 'active' different from 'busy'?

I dont stay on the computer that much..maybe about 1 hour a day. I dont actually consider myself active although i do go to a tennis club twice or three times a week ..just to keep me fit :D :p

I am not very active. I do fast walking and/or hilly walking 3-5 times per week. That is practically it.

I'd say no, unfortunately. Maybe that'll change soon...
