Seeing as tickets are ballsnasty cheap, going to L.A. in April's a lock.
Any of you out there that I might actually run into and enjoy a la te or cappucino or something with?
If not there, I'll catch ya at derr Anime Expo come July.

I can't wait! Fun, sun, clubs and stars!

Just to give a little tip, if you ever decide on taking the north eastern skirts of LA, avoid all slums and there is an X-crossing (I forget which) that many people zoom through red lights... many accidents.

I'm originally from LA, but I go to college in San Diego. I had a friend visit last year who's from Chicago and he was a big movie fan. The WB Studios was a must for him. If that's something that would interest you, you'll need to make reservations, which can be done online, and it'll cost about $30 per person for the tour. There's a bunch of museums as well as the Getty Center, if you like science and art. :)

My favorite place to hang out is downtown Santa Monica. The Promenade and the Pier are really nice. And Venice Beach. The new mall, The Grove, at Fairfax and 3rd, is also really nice.
The newest architectural highlights are the Getty Museum, the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Temple and Hill, and the soon-to-be-finished Disney Hall (the opera house). And the Huntington Library and Gardens are just beautiful, as is the Asian Art Pavilion at the LA County Museum of Art. Plus the new theater complex around the Cinerama Dome just finished, so if you want the best night you've ever had at the movies drop by there. It's a little steep, though.
