What Cartoon Cartoons (other than the PPGs) do you think need movies?

For me...

Definetly Courage movie! Courage needs a movie!

Ed, Edd n Eddy could use a cool movie to bring up it's ratings a little bit.

Johnny Bravo? They're already planning a live action movie for him.

Kids Next Door, after they have more new episodes.

Grim and Evil, no way!

What do you think? :D

Well, I'd like to see a theatrical Dexter movie (he's already got Ego Trip, which was all right, but could have been better) but I'd only like to see it if it were done in the style of the first two seasons of Dexter. A "new Dexter" movie would be pure pain.

Courage could use a movie...same with Grim and Dexter.

I don't hate the new Dexter Episodes but a theatrical Dexter movie done in the original style would quite possibly be VERY good. As for the others well an EE'nE movie would be possible. But as Johnny Bravo being made into a Live-Action movie? Who they gonna have as him? Stephen Baldwin? But it may work (especially if Van Partible is particularly involved).

But as for KND well obviously its WAY too soon for any serious expectations & plans of course but STILL it can be a VERY intresting idea that could quite possibly give very good development towards the characters. Sure its way too soon now of course but in the future, who knows?

The original Dexter is much better. Why did Chris Savino take over? I know Genndy is doing Samurai Jack right now, but I don't think Chris Savino's version of Dexter is "Dextery"

Yeah, maybe when KND gets some new episodes. But still, it is a bit soon.

Dexter-I think they should have added some stuff to Ego Trip, made the animation theatrical quality, and released it in theatres. But they didn't.

Courage-I think they should have, but didn't.

Johnny, Cow and Chicken, Grim and Evil, Sheep, Mike Lu & Og, Time Squad, I. M. Weasel, and Robot Jones-Nah.

KND-I'm all for it(It's the kind of show that would be very suitable for one), but I think it should only be released when or if more people here grow to like it.

EE&E-Much as I want to, the problem remains: How can you take the casual style of the show and adapt it into an epic big-screen adventure?

Eds!: Of course it will kinda be weird, the show is limited in characters, they never add any new ones

KND: I agree with most of you (I think its most of you) maybe after more episodes, it is really too early.

I'd really like to see The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy as a movie that is just as good as the pilot. The pilot is my favorite from G&E.

Courage could work, seeing that the 22 minute episodes were the best written in my opinion. I think longer is better with Courage, so I'm for it.

E,E,nE might work, but I don't know how they can expand a plot into 75 to 90 minutes. It'll be tough, but possible.

Dexter in origional format.

I would love to see Genndy make an original film -- not based on any particular Cartoon Cartoon. I say this because his creations so far have been very well adapted to the television medium, which is an asset for them on the small screen, but would be detrimental in film (just as it was for the PPG movie, in my opinion).

A new animated action flick geared toward teens and adults from Genndy Tartakovsky with an original story. That's what I think CNS's next theatrical project should be.

Supposedly Partible has been hard to deal with in terms of creative input (opinion here)...

Setting the Ego Trip feature aside, Dexter's Lab in animated form as a feature length film might sell, but would most likely be a hit on DVD, given that the PPG movie (and I'll add Hey Arnold for the sake of argument only) flopped at the box office. On video/DVD those movies tend to take off more.

Johnny Bravo and Samarai Jack in live form would be better for a feature length movie. As an offshoot of the series I don't think it could fly...

A Courage extended movie in the form of Dexter's Ego Trip would be good right now. Ed, Edd, and Eddy is better in short form. The 30 minute episode "If It Smells Like an Ed..." was enough, and maybe a few more of those beforehand...

If Kids Next Door still gets the ratings in 2004, then we'll talk about an extended play (Ego Trip type) or feature length movie (PPG 801)...

Everything else, not likely. However, maybe a new clip like the Dexter short Chicken Scratch to go along with such a film would help.

I think Grim and Evil's stories work well in short episodes, so I don't think a movie would be good for them.

The Eds made the transition to 22 minutes(If It Smells Like An Ed), so I think they might be able to make ninety minutes. It have to be a more suspensefull episode like If It Smells Like An Ed, See No Ed, The Day The Ed Stood Still, etc, but those were good episodes. They've proved they can have more suspense and action while retaining the original charm, I'm not sure if the others could say that. That's what makes it so great of a show, they can do anything with it, it's just so versatile.
