(Note: What I meant by Adult Swim is the Sunday one filled with comic shows like "The Brak Show" and "Space Ghost".)
Ever wonder what would it be like if any of the Cartoon Cartoons would be like if they were more made for the "Adult Swim" at Sunday? Some may think that they'll be no different aside from some swearing & stuff. But if there ever was a "Cartoon Cartoon" that can be intresting if it was made more for the Sunday Adult Swim then what could it be? Some may be awfully hard to imagine done Sunday AS style but others can be a lot easier than you may think. Any ideas on THIS subject?

No, not one show would transfer well.
PPG, EEE, Dexter all of these shows are aimed for kids and therefore wouldn't flow as adult. The shows they have now were originaly aimed for older children.

The Powerpuff Girls ... The Whoop@## Girls ... that's prolly about as close as it'll get.
-- Kane ... for a while, Craig thought they were really going to go forward with the original title, as it passed the first stage with approvals.

Johnny Bravo, E,E,& E, and possibly even Courage have the potential to be more adultish I'd say.
Johnny getting it on, the Eds cursing and uh doing worse things then they are now, and as for Courage I'm not really sure, I just want to see more of him!

Even if they were more..."allowed" to I don't think that Double D actually would do that he is always the highly moral "Mr. Clean" guy. Ed considering all his dimness would most like could care less. Now as for Eddy... ;)
Even there was ANYONE would ever truly have any fun with the "new freedoms" he would have. It's really not hard to picture Eddy having fun with this now wouldn't it? ;)

First of all, it was painful to read that.
Second of all, no Cartoon Cartoons should ever be changed and made for Adult Swim, isn't there a point to these shows being on at these times instead of late night? Stop ruining premises.
Plus, there are lots more deserving shows that should be on Adult Swim.

If Van Partible was involved, Johnny Bravo would be an awesome AS show! A lot of the stuff in the first season was borderline adult anyway (i.e. the virgin sacrifice in the Amazon episode) :D

I'd go with Cow and chicken, since there is alittle more adult content on that show.

I could see Eustace cursing at courage, and maybe some blood and gore here and there...

And of course, Dexter has some banned episodes that could be put into a special.

A banned CC special on AS would be awesome :D
I've always wanted to see "Dexter's Rude Removal"

Yes its the CARTOON CARTOON TOO HOT FOR REGULAR TV SPECIAL! Hey when you think about it since CN is actually trying to get more "adult-oriented" material in the channel I think this could be a VERY intresting twist here. And yes Van Partible-made Johnny Bravo AS episodes can be VERY intresting.
Oh the possibilities... ;)

Well, most CC's have innuendo. If you stretched it enough, it might be considered AS material.
I used to be strongly in favor of Time Squad being on Adult Swim. Now the desire isn't as strong. As it stands now, Time Squad wouldn't do well on AS, but it has a few things that are considered adult. There's been talk about Larry being gay, for instance. With this being a cartoon, it's a possibility. All the "signs" are there: the way he stands with his hands on his hips, his attraction to the color pink, his love for shopping.
But I was talking to a friend of mine who stated that it would be impossible for Larry to be gay or have any sexual orientation because, simply, Larry's a robot, thus making him physiologically gender-neutral. (Which begs the question: Is Larry considered gay because he acts a certain way? Being gay has to mean also being attracted to one's sex besides behaving in some fashion, right?*)
Here's another snippet from my friend's email:
I imagine Larry is written the way he is simply because a prissy robot is funny. (It worked for C3PO, anyway) Anyway, Larry and Buck are a classic 'Odd Couple' style. The macho slob and the anal-retentive melodramatic with a touch too much panache.
The theories are nearly limitless.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that TS, or almost any other CC, has AS potential, only if they stretched some of the adult properties and added some more stuff (mild language from Tuddrussel, dark humor, and some of that other nice stuff we can find on AS).
For me right now, it wouldn't really matter if TS was on AS, except that the writers would get to do more daring things; I just want to see more of my favorite show.
* This is an entirely different discussion, so don't worry about answering it.

I think Adault Swim would be the best place to air "Dexter's Rude Removal" (Banned Dexter Episode), "Rodeo Gals" (Banned Cow & Chicken Episode), and Craig McCracken's "Whoop-A@@ Stew!"

A new cartoon by Maxwell Atoms, or just make Grim and Evil "darker"...it could work.

Especially an UN-edited Whoop@#! Stew! In the version on "The Mane Event" DVD, the A-word was digitally bleeped out in every occurrence EXCEPT in the closing credits. The only other episode that might make AS is the seldom-aired 1995 short "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins," where Bubbles saves the day for the first time. Of course there *was* that "brief" appearance of "nude PpGs" (I know, horrible pun!) in last summer's "Nano of the North..."
