I've just been to CN's site & found out that as of this week Superman will be moved to 5 4 Central & Tenchi whatever to 5:30 4:30 Central. Both places will be taken by Dragonball Z. Also, Animaniacs is now airing weekdays @ 3 2 Central. Tiny Toons is still off the sked @ the moment, altho (BIG ANNOUNCEMENT here) this weekend's Cartoon Theater will be How I Spent My Vacation. It'll air Saturday @ 7 6 Central, & Sunday @ 10 9 Central. This'll be the full version, not the 1 1/2 hour cut job Nick used to shoehorn (& no doubt will again starting next year). It aired during the week after Christmas, but due to the ice storm bringing this area to a standstill I missed it. I am NOT missing this one! One nit: one of the 2 papers I get, the Arkansas DemoZette (for which a certain toonzone colleague is a columnist), still has the old CN listings which include TTA @ 7:30; I wish. Cy'all.

T'would be me, then. I'm actually glad you noticed, I very rarely get e-mail from it. Maybe I need to be a bit more inflammatory to get a reaction out of the reading public (anyone stupid enough to enjoy Army Man games will BURN IN HELL!!). Hm, maybe not.
But yeah, sometimes the TV listings can be out of date. Part of this is because the TV guides are generally printed weeks in advance, so last-minute changes can't get in. Also, changes that come on places in the schedule where the person doesn't give a more detailed episode description are sometimes missed if the person doing it is in a hurry. Wow, did that sentence make any sense?

Well, it took me a while. I haven't been paying as much attention to the Weekend section since the movie reviews moved to the Features section, but now that I've been reminded, I'll remedy that.

Just barely on the 3rd reading. And I concede your point re. the listings. I know it takes time to change things sometimes, but there was the possibility noone had noticed.
In other news, the dissing of the Silver Age continues. Those of you who've taken Belchie's advice on the KWB Schedule thread like I have know by now (what am I saying? You'd know by now if you'd watched KWB this afternoon!) that Batman Beyond has been cut to one ep. This is apparently to make room for Jackie Chan. Of course they couldn't've reduced even one P*k*m*n ep. And now I find that Nick has moved P&tB to 5:30 am 4:30 Central. In addition to the beyond crappy time slot, it's up against CN's airings of F! Boy, TTA is on against H! (for *snap* that long), Superman gets moved up against P*k*m*n, & now this. Also, something is screwy with the listings (@ least the ones on Yahoo --- my favorite search engine). The listings for the next week or so are as follows:
3/15 Project Brain (part 2 of ep 50)
3/16 Pinky & the Fog (part 1 of ep 4, tho it'll prolly still be with Bubba Bo Bob Brain instead of Where No Mouse Has Gone Before, & in turn Cheese Roll Call will continue to air --- along with P&tF --- with The Mummy where Robin Brain should be)
3/17 Collect 'Em All (part 1 of ep 15)
3/18 Pinkasso (part 2 of ep 15)
3/19 Ambulatory Abe (part 1 of ep 12)
3/20 The Visit (part 2 of ep 13)
3/21 2 eps, Mouse of La Mancha & Ambulatory Abe (both parts of ep 12 wonder of wonders) & Plan Brain From Outer Space (ep 16)
3/22 2 eps again, The Third Mouse (part 1 of ep 13) & Pinky @ the Bat / Schpielborg 2000 (both parts of ep 49, wonder of wonders again)
I realize that Nick's never been careful about showing them in order, but showing the same ep (or parts thereof) on 2 consecutive days? And wasn't A! supposed to be on Nick by now? (for that matter need we re-visit CN dropping the ball on the other eps back in September?) Instead CN's putting them on every day as well as a double dose on Sunday (@ TTA's expense *sob*). Not that I'm complaining; I'm not looking forward to Nick's edits of A! & it's good that it's back on every day, but I'd just like to know what in the world is going on here!?! Oh, & CN's stopped the opening theme of Superman, meaning it goes straight into the story --- opening another commercial slot or 2 I suppose. It's just crazy out there. Why couldn't I've discovered the Warner toons earlier, even '98 would've been enough time. Oh well, @ least P&tB will now be clear of the never-ending flow of slime. *sigh sigh sigh sigh sigh*

Gosh...I wasn't aware of any of that. Although that's probably because I haven't watched any cable reruns of WB shows in months. They've been airing the 'A' episodes of P&tB (with the segments mixed up) instead of the real episodes 4 and 17? And repackaging segments randomly into different episodes?! What is the world coming to? And what's to stop them from doing that with A! when they get that show? Horror of horrors.
And cutting the S:TAS theme is ridiculous. Here I'd always lauded CN for treating the shows with some respect...whoever made that decision should be smacked upside the head.
Ah, well. So it goes, I guess. The world of commercial television is indeed heartless. At least our favorite shows haven't had to suffer the indignity of being chopped up beyond recognition for some cheap syndication package like so many prime time shows.
Speaking of which, I just noticed the other day that no station in all of New York State is currently airing Cheers reruns! Sometimes I don't know what the world's coming to.

Yes, they've been showing the alternate versions of eps 4 & 17. But a little clarification here ("like butter?" "No, not like butter! Go away!"): they haven't been playing mix & match with different eps; @ least, not yet. I'm just going by the listings in Yahoo. Altho here's a slight addendum to that little rant up there: to date afaik they still haven't shown Inherit the Wheeze, Star Warners, or any of the PE&tB eps. I can see why on all counts, but still, I would like a complete collection. Is that a good enough reason? It's good enough for me to get One Froggy Evening on tape; I can't stand that toon.
About Cheers, you're lucky. I'd been under the impression that it'd been withdrawn from syndication sometime in the mid '90's as it disappeared from all local & cable channels here in the Texarkana / Shreveport area around that time. Also we've not seen any Frasier reruns, but that's another subject.

It's worse than I thot, people. Nick is only showing parts of P&tB eps. The 4:30 time slot seems to be 1/2 Lucy runover (when did any Lucy program go 1/4 hour over I'd like to know?), 1/2 P&tB. Well, @ least I can get the end credits that aren't scrunched to the side of the screen, that's something for which to be thankful. Also, CN's jacked us over again. This weekend's Cartoon Theater is (for the umpteenth time!) Rover Dangerfield. AAAUAUAUAUUUAUGUAUGUGGHGHGHHGHHHHHH!!!!!! Well, there's always tomorrow. I have to believe things'll get better eventually, else why live. And this doesn't just apply to cartoons. I live in hope. Actually I live in Texarkana but that's close enough.

Awful news about P&tB's episodes being chopped in half for Nick. There goes the last smidgen of dignity our poor series had.
But on the up side, that "Hope" line was one of the most amusing puns I've heard in awhile. Kudos. ;)
