I don't think there are a heck of a lot of fighting game enthusiasts here.

Yeah... Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is about the only one that's kept my interest for any decent length of time.

Joey, I love fighting games. I haven't played much SC, but my favorite SE character is either Hwang or Mitsurugi. What other games do you like?

Finally I have found another Govan.

My list of games I own. Console only.

Virtrua Fighter 3: I love this game, it is probably in the top 3 deepest fighters of all time list. VF4 will be mine when Sega makes it for PS2.

Virtual On: Oratario Tangram- Another game that has mind boggling deapth to it. The bosses will literally slap you backhanded style if you aren't good enough to beat them. The remind me of that sometimes.

Dead or Alive 2: A shallow fighter IMO, but it is still fun.

Tech Romancer: One of those sleeper hits that comes about every so often, Tech Romancer is a more fun Mech fighter, but still the final boss is a challenge.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Over the top 3v3 goodness. What more can I say.

Powerstone: Fun, very unconventional, and unique.

Nice to find.....another :) Does my avatar tip you off?

I wanna play MvC2 so bad. I wish it'd come out for PS2 :(
Capcom vs. SNK 2001 looks tasty!

As for the fighting games I own:

Street Fighter Alpha 2:
-what can I say? I've played this game for hours and hours and hours, and I still love it.

Street Fighter II: Turbo Hyper Fighting:
-a classic. yet another game I could play forever :)

Super Street Fighter 2:
-for Genesis, I played this game a lot too.

Now for the non-SF's: :/

Tekken 2 & 3:
-the Tekken system is pretty deep on it's own, but my favorite 3D fighter would have to be VF2. Lion all the way!

Samurai Shodown 1 & 2:
-I grew up playing these games, and the animation is great. I'll always love these.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy:
-a pretty decent game for an okay series.

Mortal Kombat II:
-my favorite MK game.

Tekken Teg Tournament:
-this game is pretty good, but I still prefer Tekken 2.

I own others, but that's for another post... :D

I love Virtual On too, the Twin Stick control works so so so well...

Another SF enthusiast! :)
I have Street Fighter Alpha 3, but it's kept me captivated since Christmas....of 1999!:p

I played SSF2 on the Genesis as well; it was very good. I played the MK games up to 3....but now that look back, only 1 was the truly creepy and scary one for me; the others just got more flashy and stupid...

I haven't really been play fighting games lately, I've been busy with that PS2 MSG game (Die Char, Die!). But in that game, my fav's are Mitsurugi and Hwang.

Oh, yeah, I forgot I own the import of Street Fighter (Alpha) Zero 3!

I love that game too, but I prefer Alpha 2 more. Plus why did they remix all the SFA3 songs to that techno-ish feel? I mean, I like techno and all, but that game's music is BAD, IMO! :|

Who says there are no fighting game enthusiasts here..?

I LOVE the 2D Street Fighter stuff - I've always loved the artwork, the animations, character designs etc. Personal favourites are Chun-Li, Sagat, Sakura, Cammy and Magneto, Wolverine and Psyloque from the vs Marvel/X-Men games.

As for Soul Calibre - Kilik and Seung Mina rule...

I LOVE the 2D Street Fighter stuff

Yeah, I do also. I still wonder who was the one who came up with the 3D Street Fighter, because it should of never happened.

I forget the company name, but it wasn't Capcom themselves, it was some other company that did the programming.

Akira Nishiitani, (eliminate the second middle "i" there for his real name ;)) the man who developed Street Fighter II, and basically the modern fighting game, created the SF EX series (the 3D games). His company, Arika, made the games while Capcom published them. It's too bad they haven't had the impact that SFII did.

Hold it!! I'm a fighting game fan too!!! Like Frozen said, don't even dare say there aren't any! :p

Well, I'm just a Marvel vs. Capcom person, but hey it's an obsession. Anyway I bought a Dreamcast for MvC and MvC2 (Spiderman also. Traded in my PSX, so I had to get Spidey back).

MvC2 is the absolute best, although I would have perfered the 6 button controls instead of 4. The 56 character thing? Oh I think that's fine though. ;)

And I thought MvC2 was already on the PS2? Or at least on it's way to be. I thought I read or heard that somewhere.

I liked the Street Fighter EX games, but again they didn't go too far really. Oh well. Right now aside from the essentials (MvC 1+2) I'm thinking of investing in Capcom vs. SNK, to defend Capcom's honor against a bunch of people I don't know.

And I loved all street figher games in general, it's just that the number of upgrades and sequals became much too many for me. For the Dreamcast I found two Street Figher 3's. I think there's III and Alpha 3.....ouch my primitive Marvel vs. Capcom obsessed head.....

Hmmm... I learn something new every day! :)
