ToyFare has some feature on rock star toys (again) and mc chris got a small interveiw in it, which is below, incase you won't be able to find the issue or something. There was one rather intresting thing in there though, which I bolded...

Just call him "Boba Phat"

mc chris is bringing Geek Chic to the Streets

You mean you didn't know that Boba Fett only worked for Jabba to pay off his Corvette? Then you ain't down with mc chris.

In-the-know fans of hip-hop, Star Wars and a healthy dose of humor have been visiting www.mcchris.com for a while, and it's no wonder. His previous downloadable album featured the Boba Fett-inspired joint "Fett's Vette,: and Knowing is Half the Hasstle, his newest album, carries his "geekhood" one step futher with the titular refrence to old-school G.I.Joe cartoons.

"It's all about being a geek," explains mc chris, a.k.a. Chris Ward. And his geek cred is tight : he works as a production assitant at the Cartoon Network, where he provides voices for characters like Hesh on TOONAMI'S Sealab 2021, and does art, voices and more for shows like The Brak Show and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. "Working at Cartoon Network is like working in a big toy store," he explains. "Every desk is littered with every kind of action figure imaginable."

It's in his off-hours, however, that he injects his love pop culture into his music, where he can bust such rhymes as "I'm a devious degenerate, defender of the devil/Shut down all the trash compactors on teh detention level." His work and hobby met when, in one episode, the crew of Sealab 2021 went to an mc chris concert, leaving their captain trapped under a soda machine.

"I belive in the hip hop commandments, like 'represent' and 'keep it real,'" he explains, show off his bow-and-arrow tattoo, a tribute to comic-book archer Hawkeye. "I present myself as what I am, and I know everyone that likes my music knows about Boba Fett's grappling hook or Axel Foley doing drop rolls or whatever."

But for all his geek pride, theres one side of himself he keeps locked away from the light. "I'm an avid Jar Jar collector," he admits. For shame, chris. For shame. -Adam Patyk

I hope that's just a mistake...

Feh, Toonami's Sealab 2021. I will never understand why the media just can't get things straight for once. I remember reading an article on Bebop and they mispelled Spike's name to something not even related.
