Here's a thread for certain comics, cartoons, anime, tv shows, and whatever else it is that we consume on a regular basis that actually influence the cloths and outfits we wear.

I don't mean your collection of Invader ZiM t-shirts. I mean wearing a Superman t-shirt with a black leather jacket cuz you can't get over how cool Superboy looks.

Or me.... considernig buying one of my own Japan Hero fleece vests and finding a Japanese kanji t-shirt so I can look like Ian from Mac Hall.

My Pac-Man t-shirt inspred by Gabe from Penny Arcade.

My favorite combo of white t-shirt, with red button up shirt(unbuttoned) with cargo kahkis so that I can look like several different Red Rangers, Wes Collin's in particular.

What else...... my waist length lether jacket influeced by just about any and every live action sci-fi character out there. Angel and Duncan McLeod stand out mostly.

My dying urge to be able to wear my cell phone on my wrist so I can have the feeling of any number of Rangers, Sentai or Tokusatsu heroes haven when they wear their changers on their wrists.

Mallrat's Brodie inspried me to buy a brown corderoy jacket that I now wear just about everywhere.

Lemme see if I can come up with just one more...........

Oh!!! Great Teacher Onizuka's long sleaved t-shirt underneath short sleave t-shirt has inspired me to try out this odd, but incredibly warm combo and recent occasions.

That's about all I can think of.

What geek culture I icons dress you guys?

I guess Batman, but I think dressing in any black is more considered just Goth, than inspired by a cultural icon.

I'd love to get the G-Force tops that they have - I love the numbered shirts - and the big belts... I know they sold in Japan for a while but have yet to get western exposure.

I love scarfs too. It's the Doctor Who in me - that and my favourite panama hat. It makes me look soo English! lol. I think that came from love of the Fifth Doctors cricket costume!!

I have a long leather coat too - I think that was inspired by the Spike (Buffy). Yeah, I have dork issues.. :) lol.

I only have two comic/cartoon shirts. I have my classic Batman grey and black shirt I always where with my dark blue jeans (which are baggy, yes) and black boots. Then theres the black Thundercat shirt with khaki pants.

For my outfits I can't really say. I tend to have my own style. Black and Scooby teeshirts, the occasonal sweater or sweat shirt in winter, and kaiki's or jeans. As a girl, the only outfits I find are ruled by the current fasion trends. I also wear jewlary.

I wear my blonde hair in a pony tail alot, I've been trying to make it look like Buffy's ^_^', but sometimes I put my hair up like Sailor Venus, some hair tied back in the back with the rest hanging out.

I made me a Spike Spiegel suit, ala Cowboy Bebop. Everyone thinks it's a really great suit...but they all MUST question why I roll the jacket sleaves up....it's the style, man! :D

Yusuke (YuYuHakusho) wore a blue jean jacket, over a white shirt and blue jeans in the YYH movie...I wear that when I'm in the mood to wear my jean jacket...

In the end, I'm always apart of my own style...what makes me original is that no one else wear the stuff I do. And it's just my personallity...I am Spike, I am Yusuke, I am Lupin. *shrug* I had these cloths in my wardrobe way before I saw any of these anime...Spike's Jacket was the only thing I made myself, and it was originally just for a party. *shrug* What can I say? These characters are apart of me...it is me.

Heh, I dress in my own style. But right now, I'm wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a red T-Shirt over it and black jeans and I can't help but feel like a skateboarder.
