Each month CN puts out their list of top rated broadcasts. Here's where Adult Swim scored...
Placement - Program - Date - Time - AA%/Shr% AA(000)
#72 - INUYASHA - 10/26/2002 - 11:00P-11:30P - 1.7/3.1 (1375)
Only one show. Dammit! Well, for all you people who asked if Ripping Friends made it, it's safe to say it didn't breach a 1.7.

Does that mean that there are 71 other programs that pulled in greater ratings than Inuyasha?

Fehh, Dragonball Z takes the top, always. Just wait till the series runs out then AS shows will get closer.

i have a feeling when futurama starts up, it will mean good things for adult swim ratings (other shows included).
i dont watch asa, but was there anything special about that specific episode of inuyasha that gave it better ratings? it seems weird that only one episode would get on there.

Looks like IY here as a long way to go before it catches up to its average rating in Japan of about 12.0%. :p

I have no clue as to why DBZ does so well -- That show has been dragged on for ages, dosnt it seem like people need to move on, sort of like what kids did with Pokemon. Dont get me wrong DBZ is great but its just gotten old now.
Inu Yasha will gain some steam im sure in due time.
Futurama will prolly get some decent ratings.
Im suprised Home Movies wasnt on that list....... really suprised.

Ahh, but DBZ has those long drawn out sagas that focuses on one enemy while Pokemon keeps the same concept through each episode just with different people and pokemon. It's easy to jump into Pokemon and get used to it, so it's just as easy to jump out(ratings dipped after a while). DBZ needs people to understand the characters more, so it keeps the viewer to see more to see what relivant info they missed(why the viewers rise).

Never question why DBZ always make the top of the list. You'll just hurt your head.
Shame only one AS show only made the top telecasts. But Futurama should bring in a lot of ratings. Perhaps improving the ratings of other AS shows? (People will finish Futurama and might want to check out "that crazy show" that comes on next)

I could be wrong, but considering AS is on so late, I don't think it's even POSSIBLE to get ratings that match afternoons or prime time.
Now if IY aired at a time when many viewers were available, THEN it would be an accurate comparison.
And also, you have to remember that DBZ was on CN for well over a year before it started to get stellar ratings.
That, and you have to realize that AS's attempt to lock children out of the viewer demographic severely limits the ratings potential, especially for shows like IY and YYH.
Damn, one show! Well at least AS broke the top 100, glad to see it was an anime that did it too. :knd1:

ASC didn't have a chance of getting in the Telecasts. The only new episodes that month were Ripping Friends.
November should tell a different story, as it yielded the highest 18-34 ratings for the block ever.

I can't stand gbz ar all. it friggin sucks. :moon2:
oh well. It's nice to see inu-yasha has some fanbase growing behind it. Hopefully this means other wonderful deals with Viz...though I highly doubt it since it was viz AND sunrise with inuyasha...

IY is at least Viz's 4th show to appear on CN.

Alright, Inu-Yasha! If there has to be only one show that made the list, I'm glad it's that one.
