Are you more apt to go look at an auction/bid on the item if it has the "BUY IT NOW" option? I know that I am. I hate the idea of waiting until the last moments of the auction and missing out on an item I really want. All of the auctions I have bid on lately are won with buy-it-now, and whenever I sell on ebay, I put the items up for buy it now and the always sell within the same day I posted it. I rarely look at auctions that don't have that option any more, and I rarely look at auctions without pictures.

I have only just now discovered the fun of the Buy It Now option. It kicks mega butt. All too many times I've been close to winning an action and someone just barely outbids in the last milisecond. So not fun. But with some of them I can just snatch it with no hassle at a good price. There are some people that seem to really overprice what you should buy it at, some make me just laugh at how outrageous they're trying to get it for when you know, and they probably know too, it's not going to auction as nearly the price their asking.

I like the Buy-It-Now option, but everytime I want to get something, the BIN is ridiculously high.

Unfortunately, alot of the items I've found on eBay didn't have a BUN, and if they did then they were over-priced. Usually I wait until the last few minutes of an auction to bid, or I e-mail the seller with an offer with a request to close the auction if they accept. Only once has a seller agreed to close the auction, fortunately that was on a very important one and only paid $4 per item for stuff that was going well above $20 each. (Star Trek Micromachines)

Normally, regular auctions. On the other hand, if it is something very important, Buy It Now is best.

I perfer to stalk my target and kill it at the last minute. Why waste money by bidding early and starting a bidding war? And Buy it Now's are over priced

Buy-It-Now. I'm too lazy to follow the auctions.

I agree, I have yet to use Buy-It-Now cause I'm sure I can just win with a bid under the Buy-It-Now price. The only reason I would use Buy-It-Now is if there was a rare item I really wanted and wanted to make sure I got it.

It depends on the item. If I need it right away and I know I can't find it anywhere else, I use the "buy-it-now" option. But, if I know I can get a good price on it, I'll bid on it.

It sort of depends on how badly I want the item, and how much the BIN is. If the buy it now is reasonable, say a dollar more or something, I'll jump on it. If it's oh, $30 more, I'll take my chances with bidding.

But now that Ebay has so evily blocked my account, I can't do anything until it's worked out, if at all :(

I never use BIN. Waste of money. Besides, as a seller, the money is made in the auction anyway.

Later.

Exactly. I made the mistake once of putting up a Buy it Now when it first started. Made it for 500 bucks when I could have easily gotten a few hundred more. I was dumb and it will never happen again
