This morning when I woke up I really didn't want to get out of bed. My nose is a little clogged up, not running or anything like that but still I didn't want to get up out of bed. In the back of my throat there's this itchy feeling. So after 5 or 10 minutes all of a sudden it wants to come up so it comes up and I feel like I want to barf and there's no way I can run to the bathroom and spit it out. So I spit it out on the floor, but there was a shirt on the floor and it landed on that. So I did that, then I had to wash the shirt off and the pure sight of it made me want to barf. How can a little white thing make me want to barf? Actually I just felt like I was going to barf typing about it. I had to cover my mouth. Puking doesn't bother me, but this sure does. How does it find the wrong tube? :( Am I a little girl or is this just the sickest feeling ever?

Barf all over a shirt isn't really sickening to me, but everybody's opinion is different. Don't be ashamed, if that's what you're thinking.

It must have been a shirt you cared about. Carrying it to the washing machine is kind of sickening. I suggest keeping a garbage can in front of your bed in the future; it is not as bad as it sounds.

Slipknot, I think I may know what happened to you...
Was this little white thing that you spat out kinda like a really tiny cheese curd? Not the best description, I know, but if so, it's nothing to worry about. It's just a natural build-up of something or other (not food!) that happens on that reddish waggly thinga t the back of our throats that always wiggles like mad when a cartoon character screams (tonsils maybe?) :p Now you can see why I'd never be a doctor, LOL...but anyways, I really wouldn't worry about it, although I'm surprised it would produce a sensation as strong as neusa...

That happens to me sometimes. It's really really disgusting.

I've had those. I even got curious once and smelled it. Don't do that. It stinks. It seriously smells like crap, literal crap. It's exactly what Disney Boy described. I see why you wanted to Barf.

I've coughed up worse before, but I can understand that it is pretty sick. It's not so much the feeling, but it's seeing the mess it creates; if I puke but don't look into the toilet as I do so, it doesn't bother me half as much as it would if I kept my eyes open the entire time.
*SHUDDER*
Creamy diapers are still far and away the sickest thing I have to deal with...no, they're not mine...my mom runs a daycare at our house. :)

LOL It does smell like crap and the stink stays on your hand. That happened a couple of years ago and I can remember exactly where it happened I don't remember if I sneezed or coughed, but I had 3 of them (yes, all at once). That had to be the worst smelling thing I've ever smelled.

I don't think slipknot was talking about puking, people. Just about the white thingy right?

Did it look like it was going to come alive and eat you up? :p
It grosses me out, too, especially when it looks like it's about to walk out the door. Anytime I've got to spit any phlegm, I use a tissue or napkin, spit in it, and throw it out or flush it down the toilet. But I'm a girl, so yeah, it would gross me out.

Gosh, I hate that feeling so much. The white thing can be anything, really. I remember when I was about 6 I threw up while brushing my teeth and it came out as 4 big white chuncks, kinda like an apple sclice but smaller. But the last time I puked up red stuff was years ago, but I once threw up 100% mucus in school before, not a pretty sight or feeling at all. Most of it was a line leading to the garbage can.

That "white stuff" must not be the same thing I am thinking of. I do not recall anything smelling that bad. By the way, why couldn't you get out of bed in time?

See I'm not talking about barf. What's the phrase I am looking for, "Hocking a loogie?" Or is hacking, I don't know. I am refering to what should come out of your nose instead of your mouth which is making me sick again thinking about it. Or maybe that's Burger King.

A lot? I've never had that happen. Every so often, maybe once a year this will happen to me. It's just a little cm of white, well you know. I think it's the sickest thing ever.
And it wasn't getting something on the shirt that bothered me, it was looking at the cm white splat on the shirt while washing it off at the sink before tossing it in the real washing machine.
Of course I wasn't actually the one to put it in the washing machine. :)

Believe me, you wouldn't want it to happen. There must've been a couple of liters really, I couldn't believe it. I was feeling very woozy and naucious, I took a cough drop because my throat hurt, and then all of a sudden......................you know. Basically I felt like this
:( <-- sick
 <-- I needed a cough drop
 <-- I needed a bucket
(censored) <-- You can guess
 <-- I wondered what the heck it was for a second
I haven't threw up since then, so I don't know if it affected me at all.

In the spirit of this thread...I present the barf-Smiley.

At what point did this thread present "bad taste"?

That happens to me all the time. I think it's because your nasal cavity can drain down into your throat and mouth. It's seriously nasty feeling, looking, and tasting. Once one of those things came out when I was spitting after I brushed my teeth, and it was so gross looking and feeling that I ended-up vomitting into the sink and all over my toothbrush. And I'm sure that's way more than you ever wanted to know about me :dot: .

That probably happened due to a physical feeling created by it, not just because of looking at something disgusting.

Exactly how she felt is how I feel too only I've never barfed after it. I feel like I want to, but never do. Thankfully it only happens once a year :)
