...I noticed on a map of Austalia that this was an actual, good-sized city! Does this mean the PPG are Australian? It would be funny (and cute!) to hear the PPG do some Austalian accents...imagine!:D

--E.G. Daily (Butttercup) could probably do it with little trouble, as hers is the most versatile voice. But Tara Charendoff's Bubbles is pitched a bit high and might ruin the subtle tones of the accent. Blossom I'm not sure about....

Hmm. That might make an interesting "Mirror Mirror" type episode. An ion storm hits the Earth and there is a shot of it flipping back and forth between "right side up Earth" and "upside down Earth" before settling on the latter. Zoom in on Australia and "Townsville" prominently marked. An evil city run by the evil, but still incomparably incompetent Mayor, and where everyone, including the PPGs has an Australian accent. Mojo Jojo, of course, is the good guy. . .

Ooh, I like that idea! Perhaps we can get word of it to Craig McCracken. ;)
And more Australian madness: Crocidile Dundee can guest star, and perhaps Bubbles having a pet kangaroo (seems like her kind of animal as a pet...)! :D

Oh, Crackers! It's the Powerpuff Girls. Watch as they approach the evil Mojo Jojo and ATTACK!
We can't forget Steve Irwin (sp.?), the Crocodile Hunter!

LOL! I like this idea better than my own! :D Get Irwin to do his schtick as the narrator.

Hm...perhaps if we're doing the Evil Austrailian PPGs, we should incorporate the Austrailia seen in "BART VS. AUSTRAILIA" from the Simpsons. At least The Boot.
These sound like good fanfic ideas...:D Maybe some of the more well-versed PPG fans can tackle it.

Rather like the Simpsons Springfield debate...but we can see it's a fairly large metropolis with a satellite town/suburb just outside it...presumably on the coast (cf. "Helter Shelter")...and has a formerly active volcano smack in the center of it. Dialectwise there isn't much to go on, though Fuzzy has a definite Louisiana twang ("Git off'n mah proppitty!") and the Gangrene leader Ace is a Brooklyn boy....

The American flag flying over City Hall is a pretty strong indicator of which country Townsville resides in.
As to which state: I'd guess it's on the coast of California. Supporting evidence is the beach and volcano (CA is part of the Ring Of Fire), the substancial number of Asian citizens, and the general scarcity of precipitation ('Rainy Day Adventure' was the exception.)

Yeah, this whole Townsville in Australia thing was discovered a few years ago on the Cartoon Network newsgroup. I personally don't think the name was taken from a real city, but kind of picked because its generic. I mean you have a city like Nortonville, Smithsville......so instead of a person or location's name they just say "Townsville". Kind of makes it ambigious...just like the city's location.

I like this idea of a Townsville in Australia. It should have a reference from "Dot & The Kangaroo" where Bubbles gets lost, and befriends a kangaroo. references to Crocodile Dundee, and The Crocodile Hunter are good too. Another good reference would be if Mojo Jojo would mistake the kangaroo for a giant mouse. Kinda like Sylvester.
