I have three questions about the show:

1. Do you think CN will the Toonami Midnight Run version of 0080 or the uncut version?

2. What was edited out of 0080 when it was shown on Midnight Run?

3. What rating do you think CN will give it?

I only saw a few eps of the toonami version, but i have the dvds. There's really not any horrible violence (but after seeing what they edit in 0083, im not sure how theyll chop it up) They might take out some language, but taking out parts of the action scenes would really reduce the action in the series since its not as big on battles as other Gundam series. Plus its only 6 eps.

1. Toonami version, just like everything else.

2. Alcohol, swearing, Al's video game, and most of the man-to-man firefight in episode 4.

3. Y7

We already know it's going to be TV-Y7 according to the schedule.

Why was Al's video game cut/edited?

It was a 9-11 edit.

What is everyone's obsession with Al's video game?

Al's video game had to do with destroying and collapsing buildings and people were still recovering from 9/11 when it premiered so CN edited it to be "sensitive."

Because it showed an extremely important aspect of Al's characterization and development, the whole POINT of this six-episode series. The key word here is "subtlety."

It was because all the kids saw the One Year War as a video game.

All they cared about was how many enemies a certain mobile suit defeated.

The kids only thought of the Zeon as Evil and the Federation as good and made it as simple as a video game.

The point of the story is that when the series started Al saw the one year war as a video game between good and evil.

But he saw the true face of the one year war, their was no true good or evil, since both sides had men that were good and men that were evil.

The reason that the video game scene was removed was because Al destroyed a hospital in the videogame and didn't care.

Of course it's a stupid reason. Most of things that get edited in CN shows are for stupid reasons.

Besides.....
In episode 4, lots of buildings (school, businesses, ect.) actually do get taken out for real by the Kampher MS and civilians die for real.
