yeah how many people think they should never show that show every again?? I hope it was only a one time thing because that show actually forced me to change the channel....

Groovians was ok, but i'm glad it's not a regular show (yet...)

Saddle Rash looked awesome, is it just a one shot, or is there already a series of them?

It is too bad that the Groovenians was such a dissapointment because it was I don't think CN will air it again for quite some time.After all Cartoon Network has never aired the spumco shorts again and thats good because that jetsons short made me puke.

I don't know who had the brilliant idea to use an acid trip as a poorly animated 3D short, but I hope they never ever ever do it again. I could feel the key-frames.... I have never, not once since it started, turned off Adult Swim, but I did during Groovinians.

Hey, it could always be worse. For one, it could be Lewis Lectures.
For another, it could be Ripping Friends, which is quite possibly the worst cartoon ever made -- and that gets a half hour every week! :(

Overall, I felt very "feh" about it. It was okay to look at, but the whole thing just felt really out of place. I definitely agree with those who think it belonged somewhere other than Adult Swim Comedy. I at least derived some tiny amount of feeble pleasure from the apparently universally-hated Lewis Lectures(actually, I liked it better than Finkel Files), but all I could do during this was stare at the clock and wait for it to be over.

No offense intended to the creators, by the way. I know you all must have worked hard on it, and I'm sure there are some people who really enjoyed it. I just don't happen to fall into that group.

Yeah...The Groovians....wasn't groovin'....I just was not feeling that at all. Quite possibly one the worst things I have ever seen. What makes it worse is I think it was supposed to be funny, when it wasn't. I hate it when things that are supposed to funny aren't, cause that just makes them all the more horrible, which is what The Groovians was...horrible.

Okay, so the latest news is that Paul Reubens (the voice of Jet) was charged, yesterday, I believe, with possessing child porn, lots of pictures of young teenage boys doing illicit/illegal things. How will this affect Groovenians? If one of their stars ends up in jail, or at the very least, with his image damaged again, just when people were starting to put the first mess in the past, he can't work on a cartoon series, if a series were to become of it... could he?

Sure thing, just looked it up, Paul Reubens was accused of having child porn via anonymous tip. Police raided his apartment. A YEAR AGO (to the date actually). Nothing came of it, no child porn found, just a tidy stash vintage erotica.

No, you must be looking at something old... I just looked it up myself, and he was charged Friday (as in today/yesterday). The investigation started a year ago, but he was charged with possession of child porn Friday.

The search happened a year ago, but charges against Jones are being made now. Different articles will put a different spin on it. The Yahoo version (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20021116/en_nm/crime_porn_dc_1) says this:

"Reubens, whose career was nearly derailed in 1991 by a lewd conduct scandal, faces a misdemeanor count of possessing child pornography stemming from a search of his home by police in November 2001...[snip]...Officials said Reubens allegedly took photographs of the same boy as Jones, but prosecutors declined to bring charges against him because his photos were not found to be sexually explicit."

So it sounds like they found something they could have charged him with, but decided to drop it. Even if this does have some impact on his career, which I doubt it will, I don't think it'd affect his voice work or the possible future of Groovenians, if there even is one. I think that most people wouldn't know (or maybe wouldn't care, at least not in a negative way) that he was doing the voice.

I dont think it was supposed to become a series anyway.. but thats just another reason to hate it ;)
