Curious question, but do you like your smile? And do you smile with your lips only or do you show those pearly whites?

I smile a LOT, but it's very often a close-mouthed smile....especially if it's for the camera. Don't know why....maybe I'm just shy. :)

But when I'm with friends, it's an all-out SMILE!

I don't think I have a good smile. People tend to think I am mad or angry or in a bad mood often, even when I am not, so I don't think my natural expressions are too friendly, but I am actually pretty nice to be around. Smiling rarely helps, I don't really think I look all that good when I smile. I think I look dorky.

I have been told my smile redeems me. When I smile, people tell me the smile appears genuine and reaches my eyes.

However, I don't smile that often, and I glower a lot, so I guess it makes sense that the few times I do smile, it is genuine.

I'm generally a happy person, and I do smile a lot. When I'm asked to smile for a photo, however, I HATE how it always turns out - I look disinterested or cheesy. My mouth and cheeks don't form the shape I want! AHHHHH!

Totally agree! I don't have the best teeth in the world but when i smile everyone else is happy (most of the time)! When I was little everyone said that I had the best smile and that if they didn't see me then.. they had a bad day! (that made me feel pretty good about myself) Now that i'm in Hs no one really cares, but I smile anyway! :D ;) :D :D

Smiling with teeth or not I just smurk alot! When my p's (parents) say things to me i just give them a big huge grin and laugh! It makes everyone happy! :D :rolleyes: :p

I've heard it takes a lot more muscles to frown than smile, but for some reason frowning is much easier for me, so I tend to do that more. If I smile it's closed mouth unless something is really worth the effort... :)

Unfortunately nature and circumstance have conspired against me, so no I don't like my smile, but I am doing something about it. I've had braces for the last two years to straighten my horribly crooked teeth and will soon have an operation to correct a nasty overbite. And then there's this scar I received on the corner of my mouth when I bit through an electrical cord at the age of 2. I'll eventually see a plastic surgeon about that. But even after all is said and done I'm sure I'll still be very self-conscious of my smile. :rolleyes:

I'm sure there are lots of people like me who have different smiles for different occasions. I've been told that you can tell what I'm up to by the smile/grin/smirk on my face. :) I have this one little smile where just the left corner of my mouth slides upward a bit, and boy! It is a tell-tale sign that I'm about to get into mischief!

Then there's the pourty smile with the bottom lip pooched out a bit that lets me talk my fella into just about anything. Hee hee!

My smile is either a smile you love or a smile you hate. I usually smile without showing my teeth, becuase it looks more "real" that way. I have a nasty habit of fake smiling and laughing that gets me in trouble with people... :(

I hate my smile when I am told to fake it. Under normal circumstances, I still think it seems weird. Of course, I would rather have a stupid smile than a frown, especially since so many upsetting things happen most days.
