Okay, do to some stupid boy/girl crap I find my self being consumed from the insides out by uncontrolled rage.

Haven't felt like this in quite some years, but thankfully with age comes better control.

Still.... I can't help but make note that this (http://www.movie-list.net/mlst2k2/hulk.mpg) is exactally how I feel at the moment.

From a Superman comic, I learned a way to work out my rage. Clark was going through marital troubles and went to his dad to find out what he should do.

His pappy said, "Don't tell your mother this, but whenever we got in to a fight... I'd come out to the old shed and just... break stuff. I know it sounds stupid, but... it works."

So ol' Supes took a trip to the Moon and went all hog wild beaten up mountains.

I personally use the soft surface of my bed to Hulk out on to work out the rage and then after that I can actually think straight and iron out all the irrational madness that comes to take my soul like some awakened demon.

What do YOU do?

I don't know. I try to keep any rage or fustration in check. Bottling it up may not be good, but I've seen any sort release satisfying.

Knock something over to me just yells 'Ha! Knock me over, you're going to have to pick me up now', break something delcares 'Hee hee, now you have to buy a new one' and just making a mess retorts with glee, 'well just who is going to tidy up your room? It'll be the Prime Minister.. oh no, hang on, it'll be you..'

So I just come to terms with inside my head, normally by involving myself in something that distracts or redirects the annoyance. Normally something like Final Fantasy or a video game I find distracts me enough - or going out with some friends.

Old cardboard boxes.

Most stores have them and they want to get rid of them. Just ask at the front desk and you can get some to break apart however you please. Once you're done, you just drop them in the recycling bag. :)

I must be such a girl becuase I cry. Then if I have a working gel pen, I write. Otherwise I sulk and mope about how life sucks. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Cry, sulk, mope, and the vicious cycle continues...

I would love to have a punching bag to relieve all the need to punch something though, whether I'm angry or just plain stressed. Too bad I don't have the money nor the place to keep one. bah.

One time I was playing WWF Attitude for Playstation and went into the Create A Wrestler, created a person who made me angry many times, and beat the character up. Problem solved.

When I get really mad, I get in my car and go to an empty parking lot. Then I will just do burnouts and doughnuts. After that I'll find a really curvey road and just drive really fast down it. That usually calms me down and allows me to focus my thoughts.

That kina can be dangerous if you did that you know. :(

And when I'm mad I just walk around a bit to calm my nerves from anger and get back to better stuff.

I used to punch walls. Hollow walls so I wouldn't hurt my hand that much. But one day I got in a huge fight with my dad and punched an immutable bookshelf. I wound up breaking my hand. Ever since then, I've refrained from punching anything solid. Now I just try to go crazy and burn all my energy out real quick. That usually helps. Actually I've noticed I haven't gotten angry as much since i broke my hand.

I laugh it off. It's best to do this when not alone with Jack Daniel.

I either meditate, work out, or (in extreme cases) punch the walls. When I move out of the apartment I am either going to patch a lot of holes or I am paying the security deposit to the guy :p

I usually bottle it up and save it for until I get to a place and write(type) everything I'm thinking. It usually calms me down and it turns out funny because when I'm angry I get cynical. So advise you go write an uncensored explosion of how your feeling, by the time your done you'll feel better.

If that doesn't work, go hit the gym.

Lotsa things: Confront whatever I'm angry about and get it over with, complain to someone, hold it in or write. Someitmes I'll punch the refrigerator or freezer until my knuckles hurt, but I do that when I exercise anyway.

Well, it takes a lot to get me mad in the first place (unless someone accidentally finds a shortcut ;) ) ...but when it happens, I usually just get out and walk until I cool down, which usually takes only a few minutes. Works for me :)

Wish I had a punching bag too, but like Stardust, I just don't have any room for one. =\

Yeah, the best thing to do is walk it off. Hitting walls doesn't solve anything except how to spend money foolishly.

Punching bags sound good too. In fact, exercising is probably even better.

I curse a lot in frustration, so that's probably my outlet. I'd love to go out in public one day and just yell "****!!!", but embarrassing myself usually doesn't make me feel much better either, so I'd rather find a private place to curse my brains out.

I can also be very mean verbally, otherwise. I am told I have a tendency to exhibit a very sharp tongue.

Oh don't even ask me about rage!!! Damn it, there's no evil smiley here... :(
Anyway, if I'm in a car at the time of being pissed off, I just race all the import people. It's fun to see the looks on their faces when I beat the crap out of them with my 93 Park Avenue.
But if I'm out of my car, I just punch something really hard. Once when I was at work (Motorola) there was this black cradboard box, that had some radio parts in it, and I couldn't find anything else, so I punched it, and it flew out of the cubicle and fell about 10 feet away from it with all the parts scattering all over the floor.
My buddy just laughed at that. :D
But if I'm at home, I just put on Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff", and start shooting everybody in 007 on N64! That's always fun. Of course if I had a PS2, I'd be playing GTA Vice City right about now!

I watch TV, read, walk around, listen to music, or go on the computer to relax until I calm down.

I lay in bed, thinking the worst thoughts I can, and then I bury everything, get on the computer, play games and listen to depressing music, then everything is "peachy" again.

Only thing I can think of is that one does the stuff that he likes. I play videos games or watch cartoons, and get over it in about...fifteen minutes.

Later.

Having someone telling you to grow and talk through the problem objectively I find is another good way to get over anger, unexciting as it is....

I got so mad one time I punched a hole in a wall before with my fist that certainly got the anger out :D :D

I don't.

J/K, I just think about it, collect my thoughts, and breathing is the most important thing.

If you have the medical insurance, punching a wall is fun too. ;)

I'm not a violent person. I don't like to express myself by throwing things and smashing or breaking things because it doesn't do me any good. Then, I'd have to buy or fix the things I broke. It's just not worth it. So, I pray and meditate. It helps to calm myself. I know it helps me to be at peace.

when something happens, I remember it exactly and when I get to the gym, I recall it. by the time I am done lifting/punishing myself I am too tired to be angry. if it comes back later I just use it at the gym again. usually it is something I do that makes me so angry, not something someone does to me...

I just keep it all bottled inside. I know it's a bad thing to do, and one day I'm gonna blow up at someone, but it just how I naturally deal with things. Unless someone punches me or something, then I'll fight them.

I get a bit "Hulk SMASH!"ish actually....you can see the wall in the rec room, I hit it when I was in the eighth grade. Man you can see the outlines of my knuckles :) hehehe my parents just made me cover it up with one of my wallscrolls so no biggie.

Yelling, in large doses. And then I punch the nearest thing, be it a locker, desk, door, or even a concrete wall. :D The only thing that keeps my anger in check is my girlfriend.

I'm a pretty tolerant person so I let the angery build...and build...and build...and I keep surpressing it until I HAVE to let it out, and so I do - big time. Hey, if you're gonna go nuts, do it once - it's much better than being semi-pissed off all the time.

And that's why we've bought a punching bag. :)

I sit around doing nothing important, thinking about things I could do to get back at the person. Within an hour, everything seems fine, and I rarely do anything to annoy the other person. I sometimes cry if the situation seems like an insult. I have a tendency to punch my head when angry.
