Hey guys,
What college or school activities are you involved in? Do you work at school, volunteer? Are you part of a committee? Have you joined any clubs or groups? How many friends have you made through these activities?
Just curious.

I'm in the anime club at my school too! *cheers* It's headed by a buddy from high school. She's two years older and was the one to really get me into anime heavily. Made my debut to the other club members last week at the Halloween party dressed up as Merle :D There's actually two people from band, and one guy from my Japanese class in the club! Have another meeting this Thursday, can't wait! Wanted to do the Ballroom club, but they met late at night, and on the days I had work super early in the morning. Also wanted to do Crew, but they met every morning, and I could make some of the days due to work.

wth is ultimate frisbee?
ANYWAY... I did karate and that was about it. My friends and I decided to just be ourselves and hang out (especially at the bar).

hey doggy....did you know that the guy who invented the frisbee died recently?
I am President of the Creative Writers Group at my school. Trust me, we are so laid back that our fac advisors complain that we are too lazy. But we do alot of stuff. We had an outdoor poetry reading today. and this friday we are doing what's called "Bertie Bott Bean bean bowling". Everytime we get a gutter ball, we have to eat a bertie bott jelly bean! Last time we bowled, my pal winded up eating four vomit beans in a row! Thank the invisible man in the sky for smirnoff ice beer! LOL!
I work on campus as well. I am in the federal work study program which means I can only work 20 hours a week for 5.15 an hour. I get 10 hours. However, sitting on my ass answering phones, filing papers, and being able to get most of my studying done at the same time isn't bad :)
Those 2 keep me busy enough...

Ultimate frisbee is cool. They had a club for it at my high school and Carnage has participated in it a lot over at his Uni in Utah. It's basically, from the sideline view, a whole bunch of people (mostly guys) throwing frisbee's. There are rules to it, I think, but really just a bunch of guys and a frisbee.

I haven't joined many clubs or willingly particpated in many activities in my lifetime. I'm thinking about it now, that's why I asked. By nature, I am not an "exuberant" person, not someone who's lively and enjoys life and loves helping people. In fact, I'm the opposite of that. Or else I wouldn't be asking people what are the "rewards" of being involved in so many activities.

Well I'm mostly in bands. Brass Ensemble and Latin Jazz Band. Which is fun. I'm also trying to start a jungle/jazz/punkska group.
So yeah. :D

I'm a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Phi Alpha Theta history society, and Sigma Tau Delta english club (lotsa Greek letters there :)) I also work writing news stories for our university's PR department. I'm pushing to graduate in three years, so I have to limit the number of time-consuming things I can be a part of. :(
In high school though, I was in the Advanced Choral, Drama Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (though I don't have an athletic bone in my body :)) and Yearbook Staff. I able to be a much busier person then :D Now classes take care of that for me :p

In high school I was involved with the school play for a few years, peer tutoring, student council, and even a brief stint in track and field...very brief. :p
In university I...uhhhh...did my homework. Man, university was a busy time for me. :p

i have never been in much clubs.
in college i recently joined the anime club. it's the first time the club has been formed on my campus. what sucks about the anime club is that the school isn't paying for our stuff. we the members have to provide for ourselves.
i don't like the other clubs. mainly because they go by what major your in. and there isn't any club for the little number of students that are in my major. i would have joined the computer club but, that happened to be a "computer science" major club. grr.
