With the elections going on I just have to know if you are a Democrat or Republican. I myself am a democrat, but it depends on the issue.

I am proud to say I am a card carrying member of the Republican party. =D

HOWEVER... I am more than willing to hear both sides of a debate. (To be honest, I love to listen to Neal Boortz's show more than Sean Hannity, and Neal is a libertarian!) It makes politics more fun to participate in!

And... that's my say. ^^;;;

I am what people consider very leftist or liberal...I'm not necessarily a "Democrat" per say on every issue that I encounter, but I'm a bigger fan of the Democrats, Green, Socialists, etc. Not that it matters when I'm talking to you guys, political affiliation means nothing to me.

Republican born and raised. But if I think there's someone else better suited for the job, and they're not Republican, I could care less, I want the better person to get the job. I'm basically a liberal Republican...that's an oxymoron if I ever heard one....

I tend to vote republican.....oh oops can't vote yet :p, but I usually agree with the conservative candidate more but it all depends on the issues at hand and what the politicians say (though politicians rarely do what they say will :-p )

I'm a member of the Conservative party. I opted not to join the GOP because I am more of an idealist than a party politico.

That said, I almost voted for Galisano, but decided that Pataki was more in line with me. It's good to see that more people around the country feel the same way.

Onward Conservative soldiers, huzzah!

So it seems that Toonzone is mostly conservative. Well, I suppose that would fit with the rest of the country.

I'm a very liberal democrat. Although, I don't know if I still really consider myself a "democrat" so much as I do a liberal or leftist. The democrats are getting more and more moderate, and I'm not sure that's really what I identify with.

I voted all democrat on Tuesday (my first time voting :)), and was part of one of the few places in the country where the dems actually won. :rolleyes:

I wouldn't worry if I were you. Nancy Pelosi is going to swing the party back to the left.

And into oblivion. Heh, heh, heh....

A couple of years ago I would've agreed with you. But, I think the swing to the right that has happened in the last two years in undeniable.

Well, I think the political affiliations of younger people is a bit harder to call. On the one hand, I think that (as I said before) there has been a shift to the right, and, to a certain extent, the youth has been a part of that shift as well. However, I think (in fact, I know) that there are a large number of young people that are very liberal. If I had to take an educated guess, I'd say that (in my area, at least) kids tend to be more liberal, in general.
