What comforted you as a child?

I myself had a stuffed dog named Max. I called him that because he looked like the dog Max from The Little Mermaid. :D

I also had a stuffed dog. He was a dalmation fire-dog. I called him Spot for the obvious reason. :D Along with him, I was also often comforted by my purring Nala from The Lion King.

Buuuuuuuuuuut my biggest security-object *was* a blanket. It had a red border and a clown in the middle. I don't know where it is now...we might have sold it or given it away. :( *sniff* I miss my blankie.....

From fifth grade to age 24/25 I used to ALWAYS wear a baseball cap.

Became kind of super hero trademark even.

Thankfully I grew out of it. Too bad I didn't grow out of it before my prom tho..... :P

I had a pink security blanket. I think it's in a closet somewhere. I also had (and still have) a stuffed dog called Le Mutt.

Well I think mine was a white one, but I can't seem to remember too well.

A stuffed Winnie the Pooh that I've had since the day I was born. He still occupies a prominent place on my wall of stuffed toys.

My baby blanket from when I was born. It's blue with a big brown teddy bear in the middle of it. Pretty dang cool, and nice...till I outgrew it, both physically and mentally. It now resides in my closet. I also had a teddy bear, named Ed, that I would sleep with from time to time if I didn't have my stuffed animal horse, named...er..I think it was just called Horse :p

I slept with a battered white anamorphic rabbit (in green trousers, no less) that I called "Softy Bunny"

now isn't that sweet? :p

I had a stuffed doll named Masha. As far as blankets go my baby blanket was green with white bunnies on it. It is so small to wrap me now. When I get really really nervous I cover my legs with it, believe it or not that really helps.

Mine was a blue blanket with a silk (at least it was like silk) boarder around it that I loved the texture to. I would hold the blanket by the boarder and rub the fabric between my fingers while sucking my thumb. It's an early memory, obviously.

Bedmates aren't made of metal anymore. They are made of plastic.

Lucky girl :) !

I used to have a baby blanket that was yellow, but I don't know what happened to it - even though I'm too old for it now anyway :( .

My comfort object as well as my most favorite thing in the world is my stuffed pony, Firefly. She's a bigger version of the My Little Pony plastic figures. I've had her since I was 5, which makes Firefly 17 years old. She's still with me to this day and goes just about anywhere I go. :)

I had a security blanket, until I was sick and landed in the hospital. My mother brought it to me, but while they were changing the sheets, they accidently grabbed it and it disappered :( . I resolved to never be admitted to the hospital again, no way there are touching my current blankie :p .

Yes, I'm 20 years old and I still have one, right here :D .

Okay, actually it's at home ;) .

All right, I honestly didn't get a new one after the hospital episode, I eventually got over it  .

Later.

This may sound really weird but I didn't have a "security -----" thing when I was younger, I was mainly comforted by the fact that we had a gun that my grandpa got from a war, which also had a baonette with it. The baonette was the main comforter cause the gun had no ammo and I could lift the baonette. :o

A large yellow teddy which had a yellow top (but worryingly neglected to wear trousers), which still lies on my bed and a tiny K-9 from Doctor Who that I had once (which I believe now is meant to be rather valuable boxed)...

Thinking back, my bed was really my secruity blanket. I used to fill it with books and toys - in very specific locations from within. I could then disappear into my world beneath the sheets and visit one of these locations, covered with my duvet away from the world and in the stuffy security of my bed of treasures...

My security blanket was a yellow blanket with a rainbow on it. I've had since I was born and I still sleep with it. :) I also used to sleep with a Romper Room blanket, but it got too worn out.

Never had a blanket. The one stuffed animal that I've kept for a really long time is a stuffed bunny called "Bunny" (And my floormates think I'm creative. )

I had a stuffed bear named AG. He had a box in him, like a box in a talking bear, but instead of talking, he kind of mumbled when he had batteries in him. The box was im his stomach, and you could take it out by unzipping his back.

Anyway, I think it was meant to comfort children, and I always loved it. As a kid, you could imagine him saying anything to you, because he wasn't really talkung.... At least not in our language. :)

I still have my favorite blanket, although it's falling apart. I just can't seem to get rid of it, even though it looks pretty nasty. It's a full twin blanket. It was an electric blanket by the wires are so old that it must not work anymore. Ut has a satin edge to it, that I used to rub on my face. Ah, soft things for children! :D

That's about it.

I had a baby mickey mouse(and I think other baby Disney characters...me forget....) blaket. I called it "Nana." (pronounced 'naw-naw, BTW..) I acciedentally left it at my far-from-home grandparents house, and I kicked and screamed for hours until my parents had no choice but to take the super-broken truck out there to get it! *sniff* I miss it....

One day, I decided it was time I grew up. So I put it away in the closet, and that was hat. When my first pet(a rat named Sally) died, I ripped a piece of the blanket off and buried it with her.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This sounds majorly weird, but I was always "jealous" of not having a special teddy bear like everyone else. I wen't through countless stuffed animals, and I never cared for a single one the same way I cared for Nana.

(And might I add my little siblings have special blankets as well? The blankie legacy runs in the family, I guess!)

i still have a doll that was named 'doll.' what an imagination i had! i've had to sew her up so many times; first her arm fell off, then her leg, then her dress tore, and now her head is falling off. i should really get to fixing that...

When I was a baby, I had stuffed animals. One looked like the Disney character Pluto, and another was a variation of the letter W. I also had a small blanket, which is still in my room to this day.
