View Full Version : Dexter gets a new voice actress?
Over the weekend when I was watching the Big Pick, I noticed that Dexter's voice sounded weird when he would introduce some shows. Didn't anyone else notice that? I'm just wondering if he wll get a new voice actress for the new episodes coming this November. I hope they don't change his VA because the new one didn't do a good job doing Dexter's voice.

I would not worry; it was probably just someone quickly hired to do a couple of lines; since apparently he would just introduce the next show and nothing more; they do this all the time on Nickelodeon. I'm sure G. Tartorsky would make sure Dexter still has that same voice he always has.

Welcome! Welcome! Enjoy your stay here!
Okay, I remembering posting this a while back and thought I'd go back and continue this thread. All the recent ads for "Dexter's Lab" merchandise and even a new Cartoon Network promo (along with Dexter hosting the Big Pick) have a different voice actor/actress voicing Dexter. I guess we'll find out in two hours if Dexter's voice actress has changed.

I remembered this thread too, Vince, when I saw that commercial with Velma.
Before I was agreeing with BB but now I think the new season will be completly different. So far, I have heard that it will look different, and sound different. And each new ep has two shows 9-minutes apiece and a 4-minute short, instead of three 7-minute or two 11-minute shows per ep.

It's still Christie.
There's just a certain akwardness in returning to do a character you haven't done in a while.
The CCF and Big Pick voices for Dexter are just impersonators, I think.
