Was that the name of the show from the early 80s about a man who found a costume that had an alien origin and when he put it on he found he had super powers? I saw somebody on the JLA board ask about Flash coming to DVD, and it reminded me of this show (and I figured I'd post about it here since it had nothing to do with JLA!).

Now that's one I would like to see on DVD. I know it wasn't the greatest television show around, but it still has a good cult following and would be nice to see Rhino (always the supporters of great cult music and movies!) or some other more daring company put this series on DVD.

It was called, The Greatest American Hero. Extraterrestrials give him a supersuit but he loses the instruction manual. Hilarious hijinks ensue. :D

Believe it or not, I'm walking on air!
I never thought I could feel so free-ee-ee!
Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer!
Who-oo could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me!

And that's the extent of what I remember about this show. Can't believe I beat the Cap'n to an '80s music ref.

Ralph Hinkley and his super suit (he was referred to as Mr. H after Hinkley shot Reagan!) and his buddy Bill from the FBI who snacked on dog biscuits. It was a fun little show with a smidge of romance and really likable characters. One of my favorite 80s shows.

And they changed his name to Hanley after the second season, too. Guess the network had them by the garbanzos. <g>

But I'm sure it was pretty cheesy. Remember how the aliens would talk to them? By flipping the radio dial around to the word they wanted to say. That was pretty cool!
