Let me know if this ever happens to any of you folks.

I am going on pretty much no sleep right now  (planning to hit the hay real soon) and sometimes whether it's typing here or going a paper I nod off and when I snap out of it I have typed things.
They are actual words, but at the same time they don't make any sense. I remember once last year I was trying to do a paper and I nodded off and wrote "sleep" with some "zzzzz"s.

I hope this made sense to at least some of you because I just nodded off again.

Hm, that is wierd. That has never happened to me before. Usually when I write my papers late at night, I'm on a caffine high and can't fall asleep.

This happened to me a couple times while in college. Unfortunately my sleep typing doesn't really make complete words. Kind of lerks thsssssssslk.

That sounds strange; I do not experience it. Then again, I rarely try to stay awake half the night.

When I need to stay up late I try to get a sugar and caffeine rush unfortunately it takes a lot of caffeine nowadays to give me a decent rush

I do not see the point in trying to stay awake for huge amounts of time, other than to get really tired in the future and have your routine messed up. There is probably more to it than I understand. I almost never drink caffeine.
