and that's in three years. seriously, they just drive me crazy! Especially when there are much better looking guys than me there. They say i'm the fattest kid in class, seriously, there are about seven people who weigh 100 more pounds than me! And that's all

Felt good getting that off of my chest.

You're certainly the charmer Jedigreedo ;) . Well, I can't deny that high school girls can just honestly be evil. I've come across many that are bimbos, airheads, sluts, morons and who knows what else. Don't even get me started on the lack of clothes they wear and the fact that they all seem oblivious to how absolutely ridiculous and whore'ish they come off as. Anyhoo, you should give girls a chance though. There are many very nice girls/young women out there who know the right way to act around a guy.

Barb stole the words out of my mouth - you're better than them. Seriously, you are. If someone doesn't like you (as a friend, even) based solely on your appearance, they're very shallow people.

I wouldn't swear off women, ever - especially if it's for an extended period like three years. Just swear off THOSE TYPES of women. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. Most of those bimbos with no morals and such are just eye candy anyway, and don't offer any intelligent (or un-ignorant and un-arrogant) conversation, anyway.

Stick with the people that like you for who you are. It's a cliche extraordinaire, yes, but it's 100% true, too.

Hey, guys are just as stupid as gals in high school, too. On the whole, both genders mature a great deal by the time you reach college. That's been my experience, anyway.

It also depends on which college you go to :) About 90% of the girls in my school look like they just rolled off the assembly line.

But seriously Raziel, if they don't like you for who you are on the outside, forget them. Who needs them anyway? You can do much much better.

I never had to deal with those types of girls (I was vaguely aware that they existed) UNTIL I came to college!

Yeah...but first, they have to acknowledge the guy's existance, and the girls at my college haven't quite reached that step.

Ah yes... but you forget some of us have the "Curse of the older brother"

It works like this with the nice girls: "But you're like a big brother to me, I can't go out with you."

The Z-MAN is still looking for the girl who can be friends with him AND have a "physical" relationship.

Lousy ploy to avpid actually being serious about something. For anyone that's happened to, I can't ever beging to fathom hoe much that must suck to hear. And to the girls that have pulled that crap, shame on you for toying with someone like that. Either you're in it to be serious or you're not, and you state it right up front. Don't go stringing someone along when you don't really mean it.

Good luck man.

Yep, they're pure evil.

Apparently, that's already been proven.

Girls require time and money so: Girls = time x money
Time = money so: Girls = money x money
Money is the root of all evil: Girls = (the square root of all evil)^2
Hence: Girls = evil

These aren't my own words.

Lol,well that's hypothetical, but one straight fact is females 14-to heavens knows when are very obnoxious and arrogant. Mostly when highschooler girls' are at their peek of peer pressure and are going through a transition. But really, not all girls are like that.

I disagree with the statement that all or most girls/ women are evil. It would be just as untrue if it were reversed (claiming all males are evil.) The trouble with humans is they are self-centered. They are trying to make themselves happy. Most people, male of female are not going out of their way to make anyone else miserable. Not even the "perfect, popular" people. They have problems and struggles of their own to deal with.
As for girls not paying attention to non-perfect looking guys, Are these guys trying to find a girl with the best personality or are they looking at the outside and hoping for the inside. I bet there are "unpopular, uncool" girls who would appreciate attention from a thoughtful intelligent young man like you , Raziel (or any other guys having girl-trouble).
Taking time off from pursuing women/girls, IMHO its a good idea. It will give you time to become more mature, develop confidence and character, perhaps giving you a different list of most important traits for a "girlfriend" to possess.

Kaner
10-11-2002, 03:53 PM
Well, not all women are after money, flashy cars, etc. My last girlfriend was more well-off financially then I was, but this didn't bother her at all. She would either slum it with me or she would pay my way if there was something expensive she wanted to do that I couldn't afford it. She even went so far as to offer to buy me a plane ticket to visit her after I moved away.

Anywho, every relationship you have is only as important as YOU make it. If you don't want your heart torn apart, don't give it away so easily.

As for Raziel, pffffft don't give that girl a second thought. She's just a shallow high school chick that doesn't deserve you're attention.

I disagree. I think there is a large number of people who take pleasure in the suffering of others, whether it be emotional or physical. I'm inclined to believe it is human nature of a sort. Also, many people are so self-centered they don't realize that they are turning off and hurting many people by being so anti-social. Most people, I believe, have yet to learn how to just be considerate to others.

When I was a teen, my biggest problem with some girls, from a guy's perspective, was that some of them don't even want to be friends. Blowing you off because they aren't attracted to you is fine (if ego-bursting), but some of them won't even talk to you, period. I hate that--if I'm not being rude, threatening, or bothersome, and I smell fine, I don't see why people can't give you some time of their day to just talk to you when you talk to them. It makes it a lot harder to get to know people better when people just shut you off like that.

College isn't that much different, either, though more understandable the situation. It's very tough to get to know people unless they are forced to work with you or live with you. But you don't really make many friends otherwise, because the classes are so short.

I think its pretty pointless to swearing off women/girls until college. Its not like you go to college and things suddenly change.

First of all to me it always seems pretty pathetic that a guy would ever get worked up by girl dumping or being obnoxious. Slipknot has a very good perspective on things like this.

Personally, I have sweared off women completly (regarding romantic attachment). No this is not a decision because a girl dumped me. I am just tired of making women the centre of my life.

I am going to say something that might upset people, but I think I have to say it. Buddha said that as long as a man has sensual desire for a women his mind is in bondage. (btw homosexuality wasn't seen much back then).

Free your mind...

::fluff:: Frankly, I think men are a lot more degrading to women whan women are to men. And my Contemporary Issues (read: Debate) class is a prime example.
3/4 of the guys in that class think that if a girl gets raped, it's her own damn fault. If she doesn't report it within two weeks, no charges should be brought at all.
They can't stand girls who actually stand up to them (read: half the girls in the class), and they want a woman who will do nothing but cook, clean, make and raise babies, but they also want a woman who won't cringe and cry and complain about sexism when they beat her. (Read: They probably want the ones who stay quiet until they finally snap and kill their husbands out of self-defense).
They think that a woman who's smarter than a man is a freak of nature like siamese twins or midgets (Read: Me, since I've beaten most of them in classes), and if a girl actually bests them in sports or in a fight, they raise hell saying she "cheated."
They treat the very few girls who will actually date them as trophies, and discuss how many times they "scored".
They crack jokes about girls who aren't anorexically thin, and sexually harass the ones that are. (One guys has been turned in 7 times already, and it's only been half a semester).
They insult the intelligent girls, yell at the airheads....

Catching my point here? Guys are just as much *******s as girls can be *****es. That's life, deal with it.

I realize you were talking about your class, but it felt like you were talking about men in general. I think you are using your class as a pollitically correct wall. On one hand you speak the sins of men but at the same time you don't come out and say it but hide it behind it an example.

It sounds as if you are in a state of double think or you don't want to expose what you are really thinking...

I think she was trying to stem the male-oriented skew of this thread. While I think most of us here are really just complaining about the opposite sex in a smirking, light-hearted sort of manner, some could interpret the messages in this thread as distinctly chauvinistic. While I think the manner in which she responded could be ah, less brusque ;) , I can see where she might be coming from, having to read the constant Charlie-Brownish whining from us guys. :p

I told you exactly what I was thinking, because that is the hell I get to put up with for an hour and a half every day in school. I was talking about those specific boys, not men in general, because I can honestly say, I don't know every man that ever existed. I also know that there are guys with class. Some of them are my closest buddies, and I would break anyone's arm who tried to hurt them.
