As of today, MIPCOM, the 5 day TV series licensing trade show in Cannes, has begun. Anime News Network has some details on a few of the anime companies that will be present, which can be found here (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=2665). Here's the most interesting part:
"Bandai Entertainment is on of the co-producers and the international (non-Asia) licensor of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, so its no surprise that they are showing the title off at MIPCOM as well."
Could this mean that they'll be revealing details on the U.S. broadcast at the show? If so, it's only logical that CN would line up their own press release to go out at approximately the same time. So we could be finding out Ghost in the Shell's premiere date before the end of the week...one way or the other.
Also of note is the fact that TOKYOPOP will be talking about their plans for Initial D in 2003, so we may finally find out exactly where they're going to be putting the series. And of course, there's that nice, long list of shows that ADV will be showing off, which includes BGC2040, Noir, Rahxephon, NGE, and Farscape: The Animated Series...
