View Full Version : Who's EVA is it anyway?
Before you delete this thread, this DOES involve AS in Australia, and in the States.
Anyway, we all know that EVA airs on Adult Swim in Australia. But did you know that airs on MTV in Europe? With English dubs in some places to boot.
So, could someone please enlighten me if you have to buy a show from country to country, or does one marketing entity own the rights?

Koopa is right...
Also, CNOZ probley was able to get Eva because it wasn't ADV dealing with them, its Madman.. who releases all the anime in Oz..

Wow, an MTV worth watching. It almost sounds too good. So let's mark up the tally board:
- Europe gets last 4 episodes of Zoids: Chaotic Century before use.
- Europe gets an MTV that airs Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Cmon, America, we gotta pick up the slack.

Well, the Brits are super-lucky. Not only do they get CNX, but a Scifi that airs anime.

Yea, but think of it this way..
they get about 20% of the Anime that we do, and it costs alot more there. Plus they have heavier censorship laws.

Didn't SciFi show anime Sunday morning here? I remember seeing Princess Mononoke one morning and some other anime movie another morning.

We get a ton more anime than England does.
Their CN also has Beyblade.
Thats pathetic.

Well what about Sci-Fi. Like I said before I remember seeing Mononoke, but do they still have anime? If so what time does it air and how often?
