As depressing as this topic seems, I had one such dream last night, but much to my chagrin, I seemed to keep having it over and over. When I woke up this morning I was terrified to get out of bed for fear that my mother had, in fact, died. And the dream wasn't even graphic or anything....It was just about my sister and I in the house dealing with the news that our mother was dead. Let me tell you, when I saw her this morning, I felt like crying tears of joy.
Does this sort of thing happen to you? Do you talk about it with the people who were in your dream? How do you get out of bed when you feel scared?

I hate to say it, but I've had a lot dreams that both my parents and sister died :( :( :(
Yeah, I've had two or three dreams about my brother dieing. Whats even worse is that my mother has had dreams of me dieing. Damn, what a sad topic.

Actually it's very weird, but yes I have. I dreamed that my mother died. And then, weirdness abounded 'cause she called me for the first time in eight months that day. I actually was scared that it was a premonition that she had cancer or something. (She had a tumor when I was ten, so I always am scared for her.) She was fine, but the dream scared me pretty bad.
I've never dreamed of anyone else ever dying, so I guess that makes me feel better. ;)

Usually these kind of dreams pop up every once in a while to remind you that you do, in fact, care about your family members or friends.
That's all. Natural thing.

I had a dream like that about my grandfather....Sadly, about a week after I had it, he DID die. And the creepy thing is, I was at school and he was at the hospital, and I didn't even know anything was wrong, but I started throwing up in the cafeteria the exact same time the doctors pronounced him dead.

These dreams seem to pop up every now and then for me--sometimes my mother has died, or my sister, and once even my best friend. I agree with LeapingLarryJoJo--they seem to be a reminder of how much you care about these people.

I've had plenty of "death" dreams - nothing too gory or overly visual, but when I woke up, I had this overwhelming sense of sadness and I knew that, in my dream, I'd lost someone close to me. :(
Thank goodness dreams don't always come true.

I have been having these type of dreams alot lately. It's mostly involed I and my girlfriend (We aren't dating.). One of the dreams involed me pushing her out a way of gunshot, and I got shot for her. At the end of the dream, I told her "I Love you" then I die ( or wake up). I do care about this girl but we are just friends.

A long time ago when we lived at a house with a gravel driveway, I dreamed that I could see a skeleton underneath the driveway and I somehow knew that it was my brother. I've never had a nightmare, but that's as close as I've come to it. I was quite young when I had it and it was really creepy.

Years ago I had a dream that my grandmother died. I woke up feeling convinced that she actually was dead, and it's a very weird feeling. Well, she wasn't, but she did die eventually. That's the only one I can remember.

Does a "loved one" necessarily have to mean a family member? I once had a dream that the father of my best friend had died. It was a long time before I told my friend about it.....and she said she had a dream which involved her entire family dying. We're hoping that won't lead to anything.....

Yeah, I've had lots of those dreams, but the one that sticks out furthest in my mind is one where I was reading a newspaper, and the front page headline said that Bill Clinton had been assassinated by Monica Lewinsky (and with pictures!!). This was around the time of the Monica Lewinsky scandal stuff, but it was still pretty funny now that I think about it.

i have these types of dreams all the time.
and they're always heavily associated with guilt. either i'm powerless to prevent it because something is keeping me away, and i watch them die, or my actions somehow lead others to take spite of me and cause them to die, or people want to get at me and cause them to die, or whatever. you guys get the idea.
and then i'm alone. completely.
I once had a dream when not only my loved ones, but the whole world, except for me, drowned from a huge tidal wave. I saw my dad's body. I woke up crying. I still feel saddness whenever I think about it. :( :Starts crying softly:

I die all the time in dreams. Sometimes, not often it's an accident. Typically it's via murder or a battle with demons that I lose my life. I once took on a town of vampires, ah the memories.
