Ramen noodles are the best. The down side is I have to eat 3 or 4 to get full. But they are so good.

I too love Ramen noodles, and I add spices to the noodles so it would taste good too.

Love'em. Perfect warm snack on cold days and it can last for quite awhile. My favorite flavors are Oriental, Beef and Chicken.

^^;;;;; And Ramen noodles are one of the college staples when you're avoiding the cafeteria. Pour in water, pop the cup in the microwave, let it soak, and dinner's served! Cheap stuff too. :D

And if you don't feel like soup, drain the water, sprinkle on a little of the seasoning, and have pasta!! Whoever created them is a genius. :D :D

Yes, Ramen noodles are good :) . The sad thing is that I haven't had one in like a year :o . Now if you will excuse me I have to go buy and eat about 25 cups of Ramen noodles to make up that missed year.

I went through Ramen noodle withdrawal last week. My mom hadn't bought any last time she shopped. This week I made sure I went shopping with her and bought a bundle! I love the Oriental. :)

As a single slob who can't cook, I find these things to be absolutely beautiful. I haven't gotten them in a while though, but this thread reminded me, so maybe I'll pick some up soon. Chicken is my favorite. It's best to get the ones in the little styrofoam cup cuz they have some little veggies tossed in there too.

Put sliced up pickles and stuff like spices in it. Delish.

Beef, Chicken and Tomato are weak flavors but all of the other ones are pretty good.

I feel like I am the only person on the planet who has tried these and cannot understand what all the fuss is about.

How do you change 16.6¢? ;) I just boil the Ramen packs with some onions. I never did like the cup version. It taste like styrofoam.

I wish they would make more episodes of Futurama so in one ep. you could see a huge billboard in the background that said:
"Ramen: The REAL Bachelor Chow!"

My personal favorite is Pacante Beef.

I love instant noodle soups, and Ramen in the package is great. *sniffle* but alas, at one time I would be so addicted I would have two-three in just one day...they were so good! And then suddenly I would get these really intense headaches. After a while, because I wanted to deny the obvious, the culprit was the soup. As good as it was, it seemed my body didn't do too well with msg anymore. I've tried it a couple more times, and have gotten the same effect, so not fair!

I prefer the packages over the cups. I like to cook mine with putting the noodles in the boiling water, and then putting in the seasoning, instead of the other way around.

I prefer Sapporo Ichiban, myself. Then again, to be honest, I'm not even familiar with these Ramen noodles - but hey, I haven't run into a noodle I haven't liked yet.

My friend actually did a history on ramen noodles. But other than that, yes, my life wouln't be the same w/o ramen noodles. They always make me feel better when I am down. 16.6 cents, wow, I never knew ramen noodles were that cheap. We must be getting ripped off cause, we have to pay around 32 cents.

If there's an asian grocery store near you, definitely check out the ramen noodles that come straight from the source. They're so much better than regular ramen noodles. Of course, regular ramen noodles are no slouch either. ;)

A friend of mine scanned ramen noodles in black and white for her 2D art class in college. It's definately one of the stranger pictures I've seen.

Who doesn't like Ramen Noodles? Over in my area, they are called "Oodles and Noodles" and they are VERY popular. There is a big box of that stuff right in my house. They are very cheap and easy to make. Its great stuff, really...

Oh man, ramen noodles are mana from heaven. I don't really dig the kind that come in cups since they have a strange aftertaste. I love the oriental and beef flavors, but not so much the chicken. What are all the different ramen (package, not cup) flavors?

The Maruchan flavours are chicken, shrimp, oriental, beef, pork, chili pepper, roast chicken, roast beef.....and those are all the ones I can remember.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....ramen.... :D

right now, my family is living off of ramen noodles, mac & cheese, and hamburger helper. fwee! oh yea...we have apple jacks too...

my ramen meal that happened by accident: i fixed some chicken ramen one night for the entire family (about 4 packages) and decided we needed to add something to it. i looked in the freezer, and low and behold, there is a bag of fajita meat (H-E-B makes bagged fajita and hamburger meat..tis yummy). i decided to make the ramen, but dump out most of the water. then i microwaved the fajitas. after putting the ramed into four diffrent bowls (with out the soup part) i put the fajita meat on top, then got a big spoon and added the soup part over the fajita meat. i've done this many times since, and added a few veggies or a little more soup, even putting in a few diffrent spices. well, i thought i'd share the goodness of fajita chicken ramen!

My family adore this soup for reasons unknown to me. It's OK I suppose - a little heavy with all those noodles, but nothing to buy in bulk everytime we go on a trip

the ultimate college fodder.

seriously, ask nearly anyone in a college dorm, and chances are they have at least five packets of instant ramen soup.

funny, as i was reading the thread list and came upon this one, i was making ramen soup. . . . . . .

Anything that costs less than 20 cents has to be pretty awful. Good cup ramen usually costs at least 150 yen, so it must be a bit more over here. Of course you can almost make the cheapo stuff edible if you add enough meat and vegetables.

Interesting Variation on Ramen:

Boil Ramen as normal. Drain. On a Plate, mix oil (yes, I said, oil) and the seasoning powder. Mix the noodles in and enjoy. I mean, it's kind of heavy on the heart, but DANG it's good.

These things are very unhealthy, but who cares? They are good. I've been fine without them, though, unless I get sick. Beats chicken soup.

Wow. Lots of replies.

Well, up hear in Mass, they are 6 for a dollar, and thats pretty much lunch for the week, maybe you do something else, but thats pretty cheap.

Good Ol' Batmanuel!

I've been eating them for years! My mother used to make beef flavored ones, let the beef flavoring soak in a bit, drain the water, then add hamburger to it. Man oh man is that good! When I make it, I'll make a chicken one and either add a bit of poultry seasoning to it, or half a can of Flakes of Ham. Good stuff! :D

I eat the ones in the pack, not the instant ones in a cup, although both are fine. I also drain off all of the water and do it like pasta, instead of soup.

Up here, packs range from 8-10 for a dollar. Bung!

Fave flavors are Beef amd Chicken, although Chili is pretty good too.

Ah yes Ramen noodles, great for a meal or a snack. As a matter a fact I had some earlier this evening (morning  ). You really can't go wrong. They're cheap, they taste good and it's easier than leaving you room. ;)

I like the chicken.
