The director is Shinichi Watanabe of Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemi so their is a ton of fan service.

Hell the second ending has 4 naked chicks in it.

But Toonami editing has a tendency to add somewhat ludicrous fig leaves (Tenchi 'tea', the "cousins" retcon from Sailor Moon, nuclear weapons "hurting" millions in 0083), even over significant plot points (Outlaw Star - Jim panicking over 'invisible' blood from Gene, the whole "Tenrei" episode).

Especially since ASA was created so series could be broadcast without having to worry about corrupting the minds of 8-year-olds, I hope that Williams Street and CN will take the path of least resistance in airing GXP. But it's true - it could be edited to Toonami standards if necessary.

Although they'd either have to order a replacement ending for the show or just skip over it altogether...

The second and third series where not perverted, you barely got Noboyuki saying occasional perverted things and you have one bathing suit episode (in which some bathing suits were edited).

The OVA episodes were 25-40 minutes long so you can remove several scenes and still have it be 20 minutes long.


You can't edit out NB blackmailing Seina for porn mags, and sex toys since it's half the episode and the other half is very important.

Actually, AS has plans to air Char's Counterattack sometime early next year. I think this would be most of the block, as the movie is a little over two hours, so commericials would have to be about an hour or they'd have to keep one 30 minute show that night (most likely a new Inuyasha). Just thought I'd note that.

It'd probably push into 1:40 AM or something. I'd like them to air the little 7 minute Gundam toy music video extra from the DVD, but they probably won't.

I think the trouble is that some people read the subject "Are there any new upcoming anime series coming?" and then turn that into "what anime should be on Adult Swim," which in turn is turned into "which anime have I not seen? Put THAT on AS."

Second to it, i had already seen all the animes i'd listed and i just thought i should give some comments on the animes of my FAV. ANd that i really hope it should be on neither Toonami or AS.

If u got a problem with the animes i listed then ur free to "turn my swell down. "what if someone else insult your fav anime?i don't they don't belong there now, but it could be there some other times. Opps, i think i'm mad. I forgot to put this on my last reply.

I didn't mean that it should be shown on television. I JUST said I HOPE. And there is no one who doesn't get excited when they saw their fav anime on TV. (listen, and never call people cheap just because they are poor! But i can tell you are those) I never thought i'll start an argument here.

How so? Unless you're under 16 and cannot legally get a job, then there really isn't much of a reason you can't buy the DVD's. I mean, all the anime I've bought in the past five years or so has been bought with my money. Not my parents', but mine. And sure, I have bills and stuff to pay. But I'm able to save up and eventually get the series that I want to see.

A lot of people are just too lazy to go out and get a job to earn their anime. They'd rather see it on TV for free and then complain that it's edited too much.

we're not in an argument here. we're just discussing about the subject....of who is wrong and who's right. but i guess we all are wrong.

Some people don't have the money to buy a DVD from EVERY series that they haven't seen, isn't available to rent, and can't be borrowed from a friend, but looks interesting to them. Some people don't have the money for very many DVDs, if any, at all. Some people ARE under 16 and can't legally get a job. Some people have dependents or other obligations.

I'm not saying that there aren't people out there who are just plain cheap and want to get stuff for free, but not EVERYONE who wants to see animation on television is that way. Don't be so quick to generalize.

Haha, but no..really. I'm currently living off a system where I can spend $20 a week on just..."whatever" kinda stuff. That being the case, I can't exactly buy all the anime on DVD that I want...especially when we have movies like Spider-Man and Attack of the Clones hitting DVD in the next couple of months.

This being the case...usually, if I wasn't in a position of having to support myself on a tight budget, I'd be buying tons of goodies like I usually have. But currently...I simply can't afford to buy the entire series of Inu Yasha DVDs as they come out. I really want to, and will buy the ones with my favorite episodes when my budget allows me...but even so, it pleases me greater to see Inu-Yasha on ASA with as little edits as it's getting. The same goes for Big O and GITS...I'd love to have the ability to buy the entire series on DVD...but I can't.

Stop calling people cheap. Not everyone's a billionair.

i think the same thing too. i just can't efford the whole series. it's just too much for me. and you're right, i'm under 16. so i dont have much money to buy many animes. but i buy those episodes that i really want to see on dvd. like the final episodes of cowboy bebops, i brought them on DVD. but i try to get the other episodes i like.
