I'm not sure if Jack is officially AS or what, but does anyone know the story behind this:

A Jack movie? I've been gone awhile, so maybe I just missed it...

Samurai Jack is somewhere between the Cartoon Cartoon crowd and the ASA crowd in my opinion. Not quite adult enough for Adult Swim, but certainly not as kiddy as the Cartoon Cartoons, either. (Not that I'm insulting Cartoon Cartoons. Dexter forever! But I do realize that they're geared at a younger crowd, and there's nothing wrong with that.) I think that Samurai Jack is one of those rare programs that almost everyone can enjoy, regardless of your age group.

Coming Attractions has a few more details http://www.corona.bc.ca/films/details/samuraijack.html

This sort of sounds like one of the typical WB, "let's just put this in pre-production and see what happens." I sort of doubt anything will happen right now because Ratner has moved on to the new Superman movie. Remember, at one point Batman Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman Beyond: The Movie, Bruce Wayne, and Catwomen were all in different stages of development (and some are still creeping along).

I guess it may still be coming along, but I wouldn't get worried about it (or excited depending on your POV) until people start getting cast.

If they do actually make that movie, I hope they cast Jet Lee in the tile role. That guy has *all* the right moves.
