Out of all the Cowboy Bebop episodes there are some that are some that are mostly based on Spike and his past:

and others that are more crew related episodes:

Which ones do you like better?

Mark me down as 'entire series'... :D

I REALLY loved everything that had to Spike's past, and how it all connected together, and when everything is said and done, all I can say is "it was worth it".
But Most of my favorite episodes are one's like 'Toys in the Attic', which is totally unrelated to the show, it's just about why you never leave things in the fridge. And 'Cowboy Funk', with that rascal Cowboy Andy. WOO! Them's fun. OH...and Mushroom Hunting....thems good watchin'.

I could never choose which side of CB is better...it all works together to make the best of one show. ;)

I put down the Spike episodes on the poll, because those ARE my personal favorites....
However, I think that both "sides" of the show are necessary to make the show what it is, and I think that it had just about a perfect mix of "Spike" episodes and "everyone" episodes. So I guess I'm with the above poser: I like CB just the way it is.

the above poser? lol i hope you meant poster! anyway, i had to say the bounty episodes, because the spike episodes are great, but without the background, the show wouldnt be nearly as effective. it's easy to make a bad-***** character who's unstopable and kills anything that moves, but it's his character development that makes spike so much fun to watch... at least to me :p

I can't decide, but if I have to choose, I would say... No! I have to flip a coin, Spike's is tails and... Heads it is! They are both even, though, IMO.

The bounty hunting and crew related episodes sounds quite best with me mainly.

I like the entire series. But for the poll, I like the crew bounty hunts. I just love the way the crew interacts with each other.

I have to go with Spike, definitely. The Real Folk Blues (both) and Jupiter Jazz II were the first episodes I ever watched, and no matter how many times I watch The Real Folk Blues, it never loses its touch.

Same here. I still get goosebumps when I watch it. Those two ep. were the best.

I like the crew eps. better. The ones that focus on just one character, whether it's Spike, Faye, or Jet, tend to be sad. I like the funnier eps., like Mushroom Samba or Cowboy Funk, or the scary ones, like Pierrot Le Fou or Sympathy for the Devil.

AAAAHHHHHHH, YOU MEAN I HAVE TO CHOOSE??? : my reaction upon first looking at this poll! :D

Of course, in the end, I did choose since you forced me to; I went with the bounty hunter/filler eps. The entire series is fantastic and all of the eps, whether a part of the "story" or not, work really well together. But there are more bounty hunter, etc. eps, so I have to say that I liked them MORE! (get it? there were more, so I liked more. . . yes, it is an excessively lame joke! :p )

The Spike episodes.

The episodes that really stood out from Spike episodes and bounty episodes is Ballad of the Fallen Angels and Hard Luck Women. They're both very VERY close and I can't really tell which one's better (due to their fantastic ending). But Ballad of the Fallen Angels was the episode that really got me hooked onto Cowboy Bebop, so I had to chose the Spike episodes.


But they're all great. By the way, great question!

Well, my favorite episodes are "Boogie Woogie Feung Shui", "Ganymede Elegy", and "Black Dog Serenade", so my favorites are Jet episodes.

Well, it should really be three choices, IMO, because there are crew episodes, Spike episodes, and filler episodes such as Mushroom Samba, Toys in the Attic, Cowboy Funk, etc. which I guess could be classified as crew episodes, but I don't want to group those three with, say, Waltz for Venus, as that had a completely different point to it.

I love the hilarious episodes, but TRFB are so good that they beat all else. I remember praising to the heavens the day I heard that those eps were on the first marathon and I'd finally get to see it, as there was no way I wanted to wait another 10+ weeks to watch it.

So, I go with Spike on this one.

The Spike episodes are really interesting, but my personal favorites are definantly the ones which focus more on the crew and bounty hunting.
