In the Ed, Edd n Eddy episode with the squirt guns, Eddy says to Rolf "25 cents or 25 days in the pokie.". Edd then says "Wrong cartoon, Eddy". Does anyone know what this joke refers to?

(it's spelled pokey BTW) Edd was referring to Gumby's pony pal named Pokey.

I think your right. Gumby & Pokey was on Nick JR. "Back in the day" it was really stupid and Clay animated. I'm not too sure if it was on CN though...i think i remember seeing it on late at night

Wasn't there some western cartoon like that, where jail was called the "pokey"?

I doubt they were referring to Gumby... he's cool and all, but the joke wouldn't make sense...

gumby pre-dates nick and nick jr by quite a bit.

I think you all kind of got it. "25 Cents or 25 Days in the Pokey" basically meant that if Rolf didn't pay Eddy 25 cents, he'd lock him in jail for 25 days.

By Edd saying "Wrong Cartoon Eddy"....it could mean many things. The Gumby refrence is one of them, as well as almost any other western cartoon out there.
