I'm not surprised at all either. Afterall, it's the first new show we've gotten in a long time which features all the main Looney Tune characters, rather then a specific member or two. Not to mention that there was a lot of talk about it online before the show even aired, which no doubt generated interest.

Ironically, it's the negative word of mouth at sites like ours that make people want to see just how fecund it is--the Morbid Curiosity Factor, which I think also explains the success of Tom Green. ;)

He-Man Babies: See what life was like for Randor, Keldor, Beast Man, Man-At-Arms and everyone as children! WIth Sorceress as the nanny in the magical Castle Greyskull nursery, anything can happen!

Justice League Babies: Lex Luthor plays nanny to a baby Supes, Bats, WW, and the rest of the JL as infants!

Ed, Edd, and Eddy Babies: I'm stopping before this gets out of hand...

They used to publish stories about Superman when he was a baby--complete with superpowers, making life difficult for Ma and Pa Kent; mostly comedic-toned. See PatB's "Two Mice and a Baby" for an idea what some of the stories were like...

Also have in my "Superman in the 70's" TPB a reprint of a cover where it looks like Luthor's turned Bats/Flash into infants (along with Superman) for some reason or other...

I remember the Ruby-Spears "Superman" cartoon had something called "Superman Family Album" where you see short stories of Clark's earlier years.
That "Superman in the 70's" book that Brainatra brought up dose sound kinda "Superfriendsy".

Actually the whole baby superhero thing's been done. I used to have this old picture dictionary that had all the DC superheros in it, but among them you had Superbaby, Wonderbaby, and Batbaby.

(Can't remember if there was a Baby Robin..)

He Man Babies...I can see it now: Battlekitten!
Awwwwwww...:)

At least I did not watch Baby Looney Tunes. If something sounds like a disaster, I avoid two things: Spending time on it and contributing to its ratings.

I believe I saw that once in an issue of MAD magazine...and we have seen Eric Magnus Lensherr as a child in Poland, and, in the comics, Charles Xavier (he had hair--blond curls, if you can fathom it!) and his boorish half-brother Cain (Juggernaut) were shown as boys.

Technically, when Spike and Jet were infants, Faye was an adult in cryostorage (yes, technically she is an older woman, so for Jet to be with her wouldn't be cradle-robbing) , so I don't see how "Bebop Babies" would work.

Er, both going after Baby Julia with Faye looking after them, without realizing she would pretty much be the same age when they are adults? (OK, that just sounds too stupid, especially the scary idea I have of a Baby version of Vicious)

Back on track, it shows how bad things are these days TVwise when something like that is a success. I just hope though that it just sticks with tots and does not get into the adult mainstream. (well outside the heckling we give it on this board)

Actually there was Baby X-Men in the comics during the 9o's in two one-shot issues.

I watched BLT (hah, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes!.....er, I mean Baby Looney Tunes) last week and I have to say that its just stupid. The plots are VERY dry and so is the humor. I don't even see how a toddler would find this funny. They might watch to see how the plot unfolds, but they won't be laughing at anything.

This show reminds me of Muppet Babies and how that show was genius. The last time I saw that show was back in 1997 when it was on Nickelodeon and I remember this one episode when they parodized Nintendo. Gonzo had brought a "Pretendo" and they were parodizing various nintendo games. That episode had me on the floor dying...and I was only 11 years old at the time. Great times to be had with that show...but this Baby Looney Tunes in crap in my opinion...

The episode I saw was when Taz kept breaking his toys and Granny gave him one of those retractable toys that were built to fall apart and rebuild. That episode was just annoying, especially the scene when Taz was crying for like a minute. That scene was not neccessary at all...

I also saw the episode when it was Tweety's birthday and Granny was planning a secret suprise for him. The other characters were asked to keep it a secret and Tweety felt hurt that nobody would tell him the secret. This episode was not interesting in the least. The whole episode was just dry dialouge with no feeling in it and with an ending that didn't make sitting throught the episode worthwhile...

I also have a problem with the lack of music in the show. The show seems WAY to dry and quiet to seem interesting. Most children's shows have a nice soundtrack that makes watching the show very cool...but this show lacks that.

When compared to other children's shows, this show just sucks. Even Teletubbies were decent because you actually learned some kind of moral in the show and watching the little "real life" segments were kind of enjoyable. Anyone remember Maisy from Nick Jr? That show was WAY better than Baby Looney Tunes because their stories were interesting...

Ugh, I'm tired of complaining now....The ratings were only due to people checking the show out, like I did. But once every checked the show out, they won't be back...except for the really young kids who don't know what crap is yet...

(Jeez, after re-reading my post, I was a little TOO harsh on this show...maybe its not THAT bad...but its definitely bad...)
