Samurai Rocko

We let them copy Dexter, What a Cartoon, Cartoon Thearter, Toonami, even Mike, Lu, and OG. But I can't believe Nick would copy off of Whatever happened to Robot Jones with MY GIRL IS A TEENAGE ROBOT. The story of a Robot Girl going to middle school is a D--- ripoff. Opions
Allen's Nickname.

It's "My Life as A Teenage Robot."
Second, Rob Renzetti created it, and he works/worked on Whatever Happened to Robot Jones.
And I think, think Teenage Robot might outdate Robot Jones. I'll get back to you on that though.

Guess I'd better go warn Jack. I heard an MIO agent was spotted near Cartoon Network Studios, looking to get a sample of the samurai's DNA.

Well, I realize that they ripped off Dexter with Jimmy Nutron, WAC with Oh Yeah, Cartoons!, and Cartoon Theater with Nick Flicks, but how did they rip off Tonami and ML&O?

No comments on how Maktar ripped off Zim? (at least that won't be a show)
Nick has a similar, but not as good, action block called SLAM!

The name of the show is My neighbor is a Teenage Robot.

SLAM is not a Toonami rip-off. It was found somewhere people never heard of Toonami and they brought it here. How are they ripping off ML&O?
What-a-Cartoon! and Oh Yeah! Cartoons were created by the same person. And Teenage Robot is a short from a while ago... not sure whether it predates Robot Jones, but I doubt it was a ripoff. Jimmy Neutron was conceived before Dexter too, wasn't he? Anyway... I think the creators weren't trying to rip off anyone. I think Nickelodeon's just trying to cash in on CN's success, so they're screwing up old ideas that are similar. Or something stupid like that.

Dexter predates Neutron by a couple of years. The JN movie was actually supposed to be the pilot episode before Paramount funded it for the big screen.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that Dexter was created WAY before Jimmy Neutron.
What's the Mike, Lu, and Og, ripoff though? I hope it's better than the original....

Wild Thornberries was the ripoff (even though I'm probally wrong.)
But wild thornberries has nothing to do with ML&O...except that Og can talk to animals...

Have any of you guys seen the pictures from "My Life As a Teenage Robot?"....the girl looks like the old style teal iMacs. LOL. But I do think you're all catching on to a lot of similar themes between the Nicktoons and Cartoon Cartoons....I'll make a little list.
Jimmy Neutron / Dexter's Laboratory
Ren & Stimpy / Cow & Chicken
Wild Thornberries / Mike, Lu, & Og
That's just a few that are linked by vague themes that are similar. I said this MANY times before, but let me stress that I think the companies make the cartoons for different audiences. Notice how Nickelodeon has animation that always focuses around kids and their problems. It also goes into family structures and highlights conflicts and works hem out.
On the other hand, I think Cartoon Network makes cartoons that are more about comedy (which is the true essence of the medium in my opinion). The Cartoon Cartoons don't really focus on kids growing up, their families, or other emoitional turnmoil presented in real families. Heck Cow & Chicken's parents are insane.....Billy's mom flipped out....Dexter's parents are like WHOA. LOL. I just think these are a lot more off-the-wall than real.
Overall I think Nick makes cartoons for kids, because thats the true goal of the network: to entertain children. Cartoon Network really strives to please all ages, as shown through its more diverse programming. So take all this knowledge for what its worth and quit complaining. There is a reason there is CCF: The Fansite, and not Nicktoons: The Fansite, and it can be summed up in one word... "quality".
Because NICK goes for "all ages" as in "you can watch this with your 3-year-old, and he'll enjoy it". CN goes for "all ages" as in "you can watch this with your 3-year-old, and you'll both enjoy it".
Mike, Lu and Og was better then Wild Thornberrys... and I don't really see how it's similar...

MLO is merely a girl stuck on a native island.
Wild Thornberrys is about a family travelling around the world and the escapades that follow them.
Really nothing similar between the two.
I am a bit surprised that Teenage Robot on Nick and Robot Jones on CN haven't been slapped with a lawsuit. I honestly haven't seen Teenage Robot so I can't say, but when two somewhat similar shows are on rival networks, it reeks of trouble--but that's just my take.
The Wild Thornberrys are getting there own movie and M,L&O, is stuck just trying to get some air time. How in the world are these two similar?

Jimmy Neutron and Dexter huh.
Jimmy Neutron - A genius boy and his adventures with his friends.
Dexter- A genius Boy and his stuggle to keep his lab safe from his sister de-de, while at the same time trying to stop his arch rival....keep his lab a secret from his parents, and face the troubles of everyday life.
The only similarities is Boy Genius, anyone could think of a show about a boy genius.

Nick sucks now, man. Whatever happened to the good ol' days, anyway? Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Figure It Out, What Would You Do? Clarissa Explains It All...Ahh.. Nick nostalgia.
All That went to crap. It ussssed to be great, but now... bah. Cartoon Network is SO much better now and it doesn't matter how many times Nick copies them, because Cartoon Network will always be better than Nick.. or at least until Nick gets their old shows back...
They are beginning to, but only on Noggin.. and I don't feel like getting digital cable in order to get the good shows.

I know, all Nick SHOWS are Nicktoons, that are repeats anyway.
Did anyone read the article on Toonzone about Viacom laying off animators so that less episodes of Nicktoons could be made, making a bigger profit?
