I'd love that, but CCF would have to get about 2 years older. Also, in bewtween comercial breaks they could show CCF sumefest and CCF big premiere 2001 clips so they don't disapperar forever.

That's good, but it would be better with out M,L,&O everyone hates that show, remember?

with only 13 shows, I wouldn't expect anything like that soon.

Good idea though

It would require a massive catalogue of shows. There is more than enough to have an all-Friday (or Saturday night) block shows. Something where it runs from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am would be ideal.

I'd give or take a few years and several more shows until we see a Cartoon Cartoon channel, or Cartoon Network 3 or what you want to call it.

And, maybe, bring back Cartoon Planet with Brak.

Why whenever I posted a thread about a Cartoon Cartoon Channel with a schedule it was deleted?

Isn't CN practically a Cartoon Cartoon Channel anyway? :p

CN shows their own programming with a bit of the old, such as Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes, and something called Adult Swim and Toonami.

The thought is the catalogue of programming becoming so big that everything would have to be split up.

The network first showed the old Hanna Barbera and Warner Bros and everything is getting so big, some of that moved to Boomerang.

CCF all night (and the Saturday Adult Swim Action/Toonami/Boomeraction combo) is akin to the old Up All Night slot on USA.

Is there already a Cartoon Network 2? Odd...what kind of shows are on it? Anyways, that would be an awesome channel...they'd have to add shows.

There is no Cartoon Network 2, only Boomerang.

I actually wouldn't mind a Cartoon Cartoon Channel. It would leave more room to show different shows on the network besides the same old CC. I know there are exceptions, but the only that I really see on weekdays, is mostly Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Jetsons, Looney Tunes, and some others that show in the morning where most of us aren't up except for the 5 and under. I don't think it's possible, because there aren't enough shows to put on there. There simply aren't enough episodes of all the Cartoon Cartoons to show on a channel without seeing the same ones every month. There really isn't a lot of other shows you could put on there, since a lot of the old CN stuff is now on Boomerang.

Well thyis seems like a an idea, but I rather wait on how the ratings go first when 2 new cartoons cartoons get there way on TV.

I'm afraid the chances of that are miniscule. Anyway, the original idea for Cartoon Network was to add brand new series to make the channel more contemporary, while continuing to air classics that, well, I really wouldn't say they are nowadays. CN always wanted to be fresher in animation, and that's what's been happening. You see, the original series are what's keeping CN afloat nowadays. However, true animation buffs are getting kind of a short shrift with just four "Boomerang" blocks in the CN schedule, and mainly on weekends: The Saturday Morning "Spotlight Year Show", the late Saturday Night/early Sunday Morning "Boomer-Action" classic hero block, the Sunday Afternoon "Classic Shorts Show" (with segments from "Huckleberry Hound", "Yogi Bear", and "Augie Doggie"), and the soon-to-be-trimmed-even-more Sunday Overnight Comedy Block (cut back to just two hours beginning October 13.)
So basically, CN's combination actually ranks with about 75% of the schedule "Cartoon Cartoon" originals- although some of us feel that label has become mute with the adventure-based originals in the mix, like "Samurai Jack".
Unless it turns out the "Cartoon Cartoon" label reps the original comedy series, as well as the extremely popular "Powerpuff Girls" series. ;) :bosko:

This is an interesting idea, but I generally agree with everyone that there simplys isn't enough original programming to justify its own network. Cartoon Network is still experimenting on series to see what the next Dexter or PPG smash hit will be. Many of the series are popular, but it seems that only shows with a mass craze capture the industry's attention.

I say it will be at least 5 years until they could think of an all Cartoon Cartoon network, and even then it might not be that great. Imagine a NickToon network, or even look at Toon Disney....the shows offer diversity, but there is something that makes watching cartoons from one company ALL the time, a bit unappealing. I love CCF, but that's one night a week, with many MANY similar blocks on weekends and weeknights. At this point, it would be overkill.

I don't think there should be any "split" of channels.

When a channel splits off of the main network, the main network then finds replacement for the programming. When Toon Disney was created, Disney got rid of most of the cartoons on the main channel and replaced them with "Zoog." Nickelodeon replaced most Nicktoons with live-action TV such as Slime Time Live and.. Nick Cannon..

I don't think I'd like a Cartoon Network that didn't have Cartoon Cartoons, Adult Swim, or Toonami. I just wouldn't.

And the main problem is that even if there were to be, oh, a Cartoon Cartoon channel, or a Toonami channel, NOONE WOULD GET IT.

You know how small a population Boomerang was accessible to? And even now it's just got 20 million subscribers, which is only 23% of Cartoon Network's subscribers. Most people would have to subscribe to DirecTV just to get the channel. And is it worth it for just one channel? Probably not.

If Boomerang only has 20 million, and it's been around for 2-3 years, I can only imagine how poorly a Cartoon Cartoon channel would do. Cartoon Cartoons may be ratings winners, but in the industry and the household, people just know more about Nicktoons, which is why Nicktoons TV is justified (after all, Nick has been doing cartoons for 12 years). I don't think we've reached that level yet, not even with PPG.
