CCF Vs. Family Guy

As you well know, I HATE FAMILY GUY!!!!!!!!!!! So what would happen if the CCs (expect M,L&O) hade a fight with the morons from R.I.? You can also have them fight King of the Hill.
Note: Do not say anything about The Simpsons or Futurama or I will Rant.

I love King of the HIll. It has that realistic charm, and the jokes are so practical that you can relate to them and thats why its funny! not to mention the reapppearances of Chuck Mangione!

Calvin, I think you're being unfair. You can tell people you hate Family Guy, but they cannot tell you they hate the Simpsons or Futurama? First of all, I don't understand your whole cartoon vs. cartoon stance. Are you talking about fighting or which one we like more? Also it would be nice if you changed your user subtitle from "Family Guy Hater" to something that shows a little bit more respect and maturity.

I kinda like Family Guy. Granted, there are times when the humor and content was crude (ex: Quagmire and his obsession with women), and at first glance it does look like a Simpsons rip-off, but it had its moments. Sometimes it was downright hilarious (the episode where they had the medieval fair was one of my favorites. The whole "what's your fat a** doing here" bit still makes me smile. :p).

Ditto for King of the Hill. It's more geared towards folks in their 30s or 40s, but twenty-year-olds like me can enjoy it. Plus, the charming and talented Pamela Adlon Segal is in it. :D

I agree. I don't like PPG, Dexter, I.M. Weasel, M,L&O, or C&C very much. There are a few things about those shows that annoy me, but I'm not going to call them trash and make people feel bad for liking or watching them.

Ah yes, the eastern coaster goes out early. I, with my blissfull west cost time zone can continue spreading the bliss!

(Extreme close-up of a pair of sticks striking a snare drum; pull back to reveal Bubbles at a kit on a stage, laying down a backbeat. The color begins to return to the scene as she plays, the camera pulling back to follow it. Buttercup stands off to the left of the kit, with a left-handed bass slung up. After a four-beat intro and four bars of drums, she has been revitalized and she begins to play. The color advances toward Blossom, on the right with a “Flying V” guitar in her hands; she comes back to life and joins in after four bars of bass. All three play a Beatlesque melody together for four bars before Bubbles begins to sing.)



Bubbles: Open your eyes and take in everything that you see.

(The color radiates out from their stage and into the park.)

Look at all the colors like yellow, blue, and green.

He is stopped by an energy beam from the head of the guitar, and his color is restored—he is the silly, cheerful Rainbow again.)



(Blossom ends her solo after eight bars, and all the parts drop out except for the drums. The screen goes black; Buttercup appears in the left third on a green field.)

Hey, I love "Family Guy" just as much as I love most Cartoon Cartoons. Isn't it ironic that Seth McFarlane use to work on "Dexter's Lab", and "Johnny Bravo". Not to mention the "What A Cartoon" short, "Larry & Steve".

Never much liked "Family Guy"; too much of it to me felt like it was either was trying to mimic/borrow from other shows, disjointed (with all those bizarre "asides") or just plain sophomoric. For me, if there was a candidate for permanent Phantom Zone exile/that "dip" stuff from Roger Rabbit, that show's father would be my first choice.

However, I did enjoy the baby, Stewie, and Brian the dog...enough to make use of Stewie in various fanfic stories as the main villain (staying on-topic, Stewie's the bad guy the Powerpuff Girls [and Pinky and the Brain] go up against in my story "The Griffino Factor").

This may be an old thread, but it sure annoys me. All calvin's reasons for hating the show are nonsensical (I can't even understand half of them) and putting that much effort into hating anything on tv can't be mentally healthy...
