I am not for sure if this has been done in the past, but I have a question.
We all know that Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, ATHF, SGC2C, and The Brak Show all have 15 minute episodes.
My question: Would you like to see these shows get full, 30 minute blocks? If so, would you want all of them to get 30 minutes or just a few?

I don't really care about show length as much as I do show quality. Would the quality of the Brak Show and others be improved if they wrote stories to fit a half an hour? The show is designed for 15 minute shorts, and I think they are just fine the way they are.

I think all the shows are fine as 15-minute long shorts. Any longer and I'd imagine the show would seem to drag on and, like Calhoun07 said, loose quality.

I think it would be cool if CN decided to make a pilot episode of each 15-minute show on AS a 30-minute show and that would tell if they should bother making 30-minute episodes of 15-minute shows.

I agree with you on that point Calhoun, but on the same hand, look at "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law" a show the would benefit greatly by being expaned to 30 minutes in length. The last couple of new episodes seemed so rushed, and would have worked much better with the full 30 minutes(actually about 23 minutes if you take out the commercials). "The Dabba Don" comes to mind as the sohw that really should have had the full 30.

The shows are just fine the way they are now. I feel that any longer in length, the shows would just drag on and on. I like them at 15 minutes each.

:D I would like to see 30 minute episodes. :D
Like MDawg said, Harvey Birdman seems rushed. So do most of the other 15 minuters. 15 per week is just too damn short for me! I want more, gimme more!
The shows deserve 30 minutes. They could always just put two episodes of the same show in a row. That would satisfy me for a few. :D

I never feel like ATHF, Brak, Sealab, or SGC2C are "rushed." Maybe SGC2C could pull it off by just adding more guests, but I'd rather see those all stay at 15 min.

I'm not sure if they could make thirty minute Sealabs and ATHF as good as the fifteen minute ones, they would probably fill the space with plot and characterization. and not just hilarious insanity. Outside of Dabba Don, Birdman is filled with som much gaps and silence that it might be better as a "Cpt. Linger" type show.

First off, we're closer to talking about 24 minute shows vs. 12 minute shows since we need to remember that there are commercials.
Making Harvey Birdman: AAL less than 12 minutes would be detremental to the show.
ATHF's original episode of Rabbot was longer and it worked well. Though I couldn't see them extending the length of some of the other episodes, MC Pee Pants and the first Mooninites episodes could be in a 30 minutes format and still retain their hilarity.
Sealab could go longer, but shouldn't. Its humor is partly due to its timing, which would be messed with if it was extended. Maybe for a special a 30 minute format would work.
I'm not a huge fan of the Brak show, and therefore wouldn't want it to be any longer, but I also don't think it would work.
Don't mess with SGC2C. The format works and has for years now. Remember:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd keep them to their 12/15 minute format since I can't see most of them carrying a longer length with the same impact. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a 'double-length' special every now & then when a story needs it.

I say give it 30 minutes the shows can be more funny with that amount of time.

Why wreck a proven method. Plus for Sealab 2021 and SGC2C.. it takes them a LONG time to come up with 15 minute episodes... imagine the wait for 30 minute episodes.
And then again.. that packs more Adult Swim goodness into each block. You get like 9 shows in a three hour block. Thats not too shabby.

I say keep 'em the way they are.
The thing that makes Sealab so damn hilarous is the timing and fast-paced nature of the show, and making it longer would ruin it.
ATHS should stay the same, but a few of the episodes could be longer and still be funny.
If the Brak Show was longer, it just wouldn't be funny. That's all there is to it.
As for Harvey Birdman, I think that this show actually should be longer. Fast-paced humor may work great with the other shows, but it just seems rushed here.
Anyway, that's my ten cents, my two cents are free.

Short but sweet, quality over quantity, and a host of other such cliched sayings apply to this thread. They're funny at 15 minutes, I honestly don't see a need for them to be extended to 30. More to the point, I don't think alot of them would be very funny beyond 15 minutes.

I think that if any of the shows should go to 30 minutes permanently, it shoud be HBAAL. The others could have 2 or 3 30-minute shows per season.

We must remember that the reason these shows are 12 minutes is because they couldn't handle a 30 minute time slot (in the network's opinion). I would love to see 30 minute Sealab but it might not work.
