I didnt see anything so i thought id start one... I attended AXNY today and i was mildy impressed. I liked the talks wiht the VAs and Tokyopop and Production IG (teh ghost int he shell they showed was the same preview that was posted before)... There was a HYSTERICAL dvd of the staff tyring to reacha deadline on GHost in the Shell VERY VERY FUNNY i hope it makest he DVDs heh. The woman said that in Japan they must pay 800 yen for 2 episodes every month on PPV which is id say about $4 a typical PPV price.
What i didnt like was the fact that they seemed so unorginized at certain parts. For example the Opening Ceremonies they seemed unorganized and the lines kept goin all over, and getting into the Exbit hall was hectic, BUT THE WORST was getting into the AMVs... Seating was at 7:30 and it was sto start at 8.......Me and my friends waited till 8:30 and they still hadnt opened the doors it angered us and I left........ THat was EXTREMELY annoying, youd think of clsoe to 10 years or so the SPJA would have a clue what to do.
Oh at the VA session (btw IY inm japanese opening rihgt now!!) the guy from Funimation did confrim the redubing of DBZ for me and I asked the voices of Ash and Misty and Garry what they felt about pokemon 5 years ago when it was on weekday mornins before the craze and druing the craze it was funny their remarks.
Im sure many more can share their experiences...All the freebies were great too!
