I'm Done!

I just finished organizing my adult swim tapes by printing out checklists on the internet and matching them up with the episodes on my tapes that I had already labeled in order. I also gave each tape a number and labeled all the episodes of the shows that were on that tape on the checklist. In other words, I know which episodes of which shows I have now on tape and on which tape to look on to find them for immeadiat referance. I know this doesn't have much to do with adult swim, but I'm just happy I got the time to finally do it! :D

I tried to keep my tapes organized but I would always tape over other episodes acidentaly, so I gave up

I've been doing pretty well when it comes to recording the Adult Swim shows. I have seperate tapes for Home Movies (1 tape for each season), Mission Hill, Harvey Birdman, Sealab/Brak/ATHF (all are one 1 tape, I'm on my 2nd tape now), Baby Blues, AS specials, Yu-Yu, and Cowboy Bebop.

I'm pretty certain that I don't have all of the Brak episodes on tape. I know I still have several episodes to go on Cowboy Bebop. I also missed a couple of Home Movies from the 2nd season.

As far as anyone else who has been keeping tapes of the AS shows, have you been leaving in the commercials or do you edit the commericals out? I've been very picky and I make sure to leave the commercials out (since I end up fast forwarding them anyway). I guess the only draw back is that I don't record the AS related product promos or any of those inbetween shorts (Captain Linger, talking babies, the Barbie look alike doll). I also only tape the episodes when I'm home, that way I can edit the commercials out. I've had to miss out on some episodes since I wasn't home when they were on. I guess that is the curse of taping each of the episodes on seperate tapes.

Anyways, I'm probably going to organize mine eventually, once I have enough episodes of all the shows, and make a seperate tape for:

Cowboy Bebop
Yu Yu Hakusho
Inuyasha
ATHF
Mission Hill / Oblongs
Home Movies (I'll probably end up with 2 or 3 of these eventually)
Other AS Stuff (Sealab, Brak, Harvey Birdman, AS Babies skits, Specials)

I might do that a couple weeks from now, when I have a couple more episodes of each of the shows. I don't tape SGC2C anymore, because I never watch it (Bring back Cartoon Planet!!) and it wastes time on my tapes, and time is money! Or something like that...

Anyways, congrats to anybody who has the tapes organized, I am very happy for you and wish I had your tapes. GIVE ME ALL YOUR TAPES!!!

This is my list how I organize my tapes for AS that I recoreded.

Cowboy Bebop (Tape 1 episodes 1-12, Tape 2 13-22, and tape 23-26, after Bebop episode 26 have some Adult swim speicals,Star Wars: Attack of Clones trailers,and some Kim Possible episodes).

Yu Yu Hakshuo (Tape 1 episodes 1-13,and Tape 2 ( Episode 14- through were Season 1 end and will continue were Season 1 ended at.)

Misson Hill ( 1 tape:episodes 1-13)

Home Movies: ( One tape for each season that air this far)

Willam Street shows/ As Speicals: (I have 3 tapes of stuff by Willam Street,and some other AS Specials inculed Athf,SGC2C,Sealab,HBATL,and Brak )

Ina Yasha: one tape this far.

Baby Blues: I have all but the episode with Rodney become a cook.

Outlaw Star: Recored off of Toonami,and bought Hot Spring Planet Tenrei Unedited on Vhs with Episode 24 unedited in English dubbed.

Tenchi Muyo!: Also recored it off on Toonami.

I like these shows too. They are good. Quality programming. The Adult Swim Network is fun and reasonable.

wow, i dont have tapes. i have cd's. i love my cd's, 'cause i got one of those apex ad-1100's that will play vcd's really well (and alot of other stuff besides! hehe!).

I edit out the commercials, but any commercials I like, I keep as a sperate file. I've been debating what to do about this situation, I think I'm going to try to put together vcd's of adult swim nights (i.e. acutal blocks of programming as they were shown) along with the cool commercials and adult swim bumpers inbetween episodes, and put in cool chapter stops and stuff you you could fast forward if you wanted to to the next show... and put the "brand new... (whatever)" commercial in there for whatever show is next... adult swim is an experience, really. just making tapes or cds of one show kinda messes up the rotation I think...

anyway, I'm reminded of the last line of the credits of one of my favoirte shows, MST3K...
