According to Anime News Service (http://www.animenewsservice.com), Bandai will be screening the first episode of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex at their panel during Anime Expo New York this weekend!

This bodes very well...we might actually be able to get some information about the broadcast out of this. Bandai has always been somewhat loose-lipped about their titles being on TV, after all (G Gundam and Char's Counterattack, anyone?).

And to all of those here who are going to AXNY: impressions, please!

EDIT: Almost forgot, the Bandai panel is Sunday at 3:00PM EST for those who might be going.

I'd love to do just that, but I'm a bit confused on being able to see the panel. Do do you have to buy tickets to have access to it? If so, how much are they?

I plan to go on Saturday and Sunday, so I'll pop in for the panel too.

I plan to go on Saturday and Sunday, so I'll pop in for the panel too. My understanding is that all AXNY functions are included with the basic admission (with possible exceptions that I don't know about) but there is a separate admission for each of the BAAF events.

I'm afraid I don't know much of anything about AXNY specifically (living way too far away to go), but if it's anything like any other con I've been to, then what zimbach said should be correct.

I have read about some confusion because the BAAF events take place at the same time, but are a separate admission...however, the Bandai panel is strictly an AXNY event, so it should be included in your admission to the con.

Sounds good, since I was one those who thought that the BAAF and AXNY were one and the same. Thanks for clearing that up. At any rate, I'll still try to attend the panel at the AXNY. Its being held at the Marriott, so it isn't too far from the BAAF theater anyway.
