Somebody suggested I come by here. =)
Okay, fine. I suppose I should give credit...but I forgot where the credit's due, so whoever suggested at the WBC bbs that I come by here, stand up and bow wow--er, bow. :p
By the way, I'm in a weird mood right now so ignore me if I cough up a hairball or something like that. =X

I can't tell whether he's being sarcastic or not. But just to be on the safe side, Bonjour is French for hello.
BTW, bonjour all.

My friend invented the <sarcasm> tags, which basically goes around any statement you intended to be sarcastic.
For example <sarcasm>I think Dark Angel is an extremely ground-breaking, original and creative drama and James Cameron deserves a medal for it</sarcasm>

Hey, I'm not a computer OR politically correct. :p
I don't know what's worse - PC or my alter ego's initials - LP.

No, "bonjour" is "good day", "bonsoir" is "good night", but also works as "good bye".

Bonne nuit is good night. Bon soir is good luck. Bons pantalons is good pants, I think.

...are small chocolate-covered candies; they seem to be a staple of Peggy Bundy's (Married...With Children) diet. I guess they literally translate as "good-good", huh?
A "bon mot", an amusing pun or humorous remark, translates to something like "good talk", doesn't it?
In Spanish, adios, or "goodbye", literally means "[go] to God". One might also say "Hasta la vista"--literally "until a later call/visit". "Buenas dias" is a common greeting, literally, "a good morning". "Buenas noches", or "good night", is often said in aprting. Oddly, I seldom hear folks say "buenas tardes", or "a good afternoon", exept in libros del espanol.
In many Cheech and Chong movies this common colloquialism is heard: "Hola, vato!" ("Hey, dude!") It seems to be chiefly used in parts of Mexico and considered low-class.

::blink blink:: I learned that bonsoir meant good evening.....and I don't believe any form of "bon" has an s at the end....
