Well according to Anime News Network, Viz and CN have come to some kind of an agreement to set up something similar to Toonami's Reactor in the future.
This could be great cause Viz does have a decent list of good anime that could come to CN.

Hope it's true :)

Adult Swim Ripoff is more like it. I don't understand why they couldn't come up with a decent name.

Does it matter all that much what the thing is called? Content... worry 'bout that. If it had the coolest name imaginable but crappy content... it would be crap.

That having been said... how about we call it "Swimming with a 'net" (Internet that is....) :)

The name is tenative to change, and uh, the people in charge of ASA are the same people in charge of Toonami. I've never heard of someone ripping off their own idea.

Yup, possibly lazy & uncreative but not idea theft (unless the people in question have split personalities and each personality works on a different block of shows). I'm guessing that the idea of the streaming came first and for lack of anything better to call it they slapped "Reactor" on it so they could call it something at ComicCon

Back to the content issue... will AS Reactor only be showing ASA type shows or will ASC content be there also? OK, so it's a bit early to be asking specific question like that but what the heck...

It really should be called Shonen Jump: The US ad campaign. That's really all it is -- a big-time net ad for their US release of the Shonen Jump comic. I've never been a big fan of the Reactor service, and once SJ gets about 4-6 months into its American print run I'm sure they'll have a big enough fan base to quit throwing CN a bone.

Oh, to answer your question, ASA only -- Shonen Jump is the premiere manga in Japan where quite a few succesful animes got their start.
