I'm not a big fan of Robot Jones. It's an alright cartoon cartoon. I miss Dexter! Anyway here's what I felt about tonight's episodes:
Parents: Kind of funny. In some parts boring.
(
Embarassed: OK. funny but I didn't like the storyline.

I noticed something: I don't like the episodes that focus on Robot Jones. I like the stuff where they focus on the other characters (like the one with the compuer guy at the school and the principla who thought he will turn into a robot). I like the first one because of the parent's antics, and I didn't like the second one because I didn't find any of it funny or really entertaining.

I did, too. Anyway, did the PPG DVD advise (I guess, you could say) helped any?

Yes, I think so. The only thing now I was wondering is if there will be any more PPG DVD's released? One of my favorite episodes (which aired today involved Mojo babysitting) isn't on the DVD from what I've had others tell me.
Ontopic: I think the best thing about WHTRJ is the Gameboy/NES-esque music. I didn't hear much of it in today's episode.

Off Topic: The one where Mojo Jojo baby-sits is one of my favorites, too! I love when the Powerpuff Girls put on the T.V. show where the cartoon character says if I were a fish, I'd scream, scream, scream! Well, I have no idea but probably they'll release more later unless maybe CCF: The Fansite knows.

Blarney: The Singing Sea Serpent.
I think it would be a better idea to continue a discussion like this in a different thread or through PM.
The mods would probably appreciate it.

I loved this episode! Robot Jones is starting to show a lot of personality (as much as a robot can anyway) and the episodes just keep getting better and better. Now, on with the reviews!
-PARENTS: This one was pretty funny. And Robot Jones gets to be a hero :)
Favorite qoute; MomUnit: "There! I have distroyed my son's offensive poetry"
-Embarassed: Although I HATE it when a show uses gas humor (thats why I don't watch Nick shows anymore), I still enjoyed this episode.*sigh* I remember how awkward those middle school dances were. Thank Goodness that part of my life is over!
Favorite quote; Robot Jones: "But I don't want to have a cyborg baby!" (I still laugh when I remember that line:D)

Last night's "Robot Jones" wasn't too bad at all. "Parents" was amusingly funny. Especially when MomUnit & DadUnit destroy everything. You gotta love the shcool janitor. He's gonna be A really fun character. "Embarasment" was also pretty good. I can relate to Robot Jones' queasyness when he tries to ask Shannon to the dance. Just imagin how he'd act around Cutey Honey, or Alita. (Battle Angel)

As much as it bores me, it's impossible for me to hate Robot Jones. Mostly because of my "Hey, at least it's not Mike, Lou, & Og" review scale.

Can someone give me a summary of the episode?

Per your request, blackcat:
-Parents: Robot is embarrased by his parents (as most non-robot children are at his age). Unfortunately for him, the Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up. Robot tries to upgrade his parents in human communication, but they don't really do a good job of it. Robot decides to manually upgrade them, by placing a small remote reciever on them, from which he can control what they do. But the students are sequestered in the cafeteria away from the parents, so that doesn't work. Robot's parents have an absurd manner about them (breaking through walls instead of using the door, seeing someone shaking their fist as some sort of threat involving fighting, etc.) and end up destroying most of the school. At first, Robot is embarassed at the way his parents acted, but when he sees the kids are happy that the school will be closed for a while, he realizes his parents are kind of cool.
-Embarrasment: It's only a week before the big dance. Robot would love to asks Shannon out to the dance, but is a little embarrased to...and when Robot gets too embarrased, his exaust system malfunctions, and he ends up spurting a fowl-smelling gas. Every day, Robot tries to get the courage to ask Shannon, but it keeps happening. Robot eventually learns that Shannon is going to the dance, even though nobody asked her. At the night of the dance, nobody is dancing with one another. The janitor realizes this and picks a boy and a girl out at random to get the party started: Robot and Shannon. Robot gets embarrased, again. The sound of his malfunctioning exaust system ends up making a funky beat, and the dance goes on without a hitch, with impromtu musical accompaniment by Robot.

I'm not a fan of the show, but I love Robot Jones as a character. He's very nice, and at the end of the show he gives us a moral. His parents are cool, and that girl he likes is was a good idea. I just havent seen alot of humor in the show yet. I think they're going for "make the show's atmosphere seem interesting" rather than make the show interesting. All in all, this was a good episode for Robot Jones, although it's not the best. And even though I'm not a fan of the show, I respect it and give the episode 3.5/5 stars. GROOVY! (that's my word, don't steal it since I already stole it from the Brady Bunch and Earthworm Jim!)

Thanks for the summary mobo85. I wish I saw Parents, but Embarassed didn't really sound that good to me.
