View Full Version : The new ASA lead ins for September and beyond...
As Jimmy just posted in this news thread -- http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43082 , starting in September the Batman Beyond episodes that had been airing in front of ASA in the 10:00-11:00 slot will be replaced with He-Man and Transformers Armada episodes.
I think a LOT of people will tune in for these shows and hang around for YYH and the ASA crew, leading to better ratings for the block... which it certainly needs. Since these shows are just getting started on Toonami, the Sat. night rerun episodes should be quite popular and maybe we'll get people discovering the whole Adult Swim block as a result...

interesting. Maybe I'll watch the Transformers led-in.
It could bring in new people. But unless AS pumps up its programs, people won't hang around.

I think that AS is making pretty solid efforts to build upon its self in the future, things seem to change every few months and hopefully this will continue to enhance the AS schedual as it has in the past (I do hope they retain Bebop though, great ASA show). Plus, I really like the cartoon lead in idea as it provides a good space for popular cartoons that may not neccesarily be consider adult enough for the core AS lineup (as is the case with He-Man and Transformers). Needless to say this one hour time span could change in the future as new shows are aquired and fresh ideas tried in the pre-AS slots, good posibilities and the more the better I say.

I, like most people, really enjoy Cowboy Bebop, but I wonder just how long can CN rerun the episodes on ASA? I understand that it takes about half a year to go through one run through, but is CN just going to run it over and over? I doubt it will be taken off any time in near future, since it's ASA's best show, but what about in two or three years? I mean, I don't really mind it being on indefinately, I just am throwing out a question.

I really think future Adult Swim Action will be way better than anyone could imagine and will not need children to watch it for good ratings. Hopefully, these lead-ins will attract more adults to He-Man/Transformers than kids to ASA.
