:D I loveHome Movies! Home Moveis is so funny, and has really good story lines. The one on last sunday was great. Where the channel one news lady spends days and days interviewing all of the kids. and then ends up only using the footage of jason as a girl. It was like a 20 second segment at the end of the news. The funny thing was, what happened is true. cause it really does happen. LOL

anybody got a Favorite episode?
I dont, I like 'em all!
Home Movies can be funny at times, especially the second season shows.
I would say Cowboy Bebop is the best show on Adult Swim though. Just my two cents.

Sometimes I wonder if threads like this were intended to provoke people into angry, hate-filled posts... then I just give up. Wondering about stuff like that is just too darn tiring.
Go Home Movies!

It's hard to compare it to the other shows on ASC, let alone ASA, because of how diverse the blocks are. I would say that it's tied for first with Mission Hill for best 'normal' show on ASC.
Home Movies is probably the show that has the most longevity and can actually fill a half hour without growing old. Sealab for instance would loose its impact if they had to drag a story out for more than 12 minutes. Home Movies also has more depth as far as characters and plot lines go. Still, I'd like a Harvey Birdman 30 minute show. . .

HM is my second favorite show on AS (ATHF being my first). If I include ASA shows, then it's tied for 2nd with CB.

I love Home Movies, definitely more than anything else on ASC. And, in the end, I'll probably end up preferring it to Bebop. It's definitely gonna last longer.

What's not to like about Baby Blues? Ok, loaded question, but I agree with... uh, whoever said they like it. It's got a good, solid plot, by far the most 'normal' show on ASC and if you give it a chance, it's funny! "My earliest memories are of being stuffed into a 2x2 ft box under a roulette table and working a magnet so that no one would win. Sometimes I get in the dryer with a bag of peanuts and reminisce..." It can be alot darker than alot of people give it credit for.
And Dark = Funny!

Baby Blues is easily the lightest show on the block. It just can't compete with HM, HB:AaL, ATHF, Sealab 2021, Mission Hill, and, to a lesser extant, Brak. I've always thought Baby Blues would be better suited for Lifetime, WE, or Oxygen as it seems to be targeted at women.

I thought Baby Blues, the newspaper comic strip was out before Rugrats. Besides Baby Blues is from the parents point of view not the baby's.

HOME MOVIES and BABY BLUES are both very funny shows, and I'd say overall my two favorites respectively.
Best episodes:
HM: "Director's Cut" and "It Was Supposed to be Funny"
BB: "God Forbid" and "Hurtin' Inside"

When I watch Home Movies, I notice that the Voice recording is diffrent than most cartoons...
The characters always cut each other off, or talk over one another which makes me think if they all do Voice recording in the same room, like PPGs, a unique way to record voices since most of the time they record the voices one at a time. I don't know if they record in the same room, but the way their voices interact sounds like they do...does anyone know for sure?
I also like seeing how the characters evolve...Like watch the last episode then the first and you'll see the diffrences. The show is funny, but it's not the normal "right out there funny" it's unique.
Baby blues is a funny show too, but if you ever see the new comic strips, you may notice that Zoe is older, and there is a younger boy infant in the house....Are they going to make new Baby Blues?

I think they all do it together. Since I read that there is a good amount of ad lib in the recording sessions. interuppting and talking over one another is also realistic.

Home Movies is funny but sometimes it seems to long and drawn out espeaically when the story, or part of it dosen't revolve around Mcguirk, several characters really don't humor me, such as Jason, Mellissa, and Paula, also less seen characters such as Walter and Perry, do nothing for me, this show isn't always as funny as the other shows but it can be even funnier.
As for Baby Blues it has basically only one character that is capable of making me laugh, and thats not enough to balance a show on, this show dosen't fit in.
In my opinion the Best show is Sealab, It's allways Hillarious, every character is great, and while the story lines aren't the most origonal things in the world, the dialouge make up for that,

glad you asked that defecter! :D
McGuirk is my least favorite character. i don't feel like stating my reasons since I have MANY TIMES before in my opinion of the show. You want them? Read the archive posts. Remember it's just my opinion.
oh, and Baby Blues rules! Variety on AS is what we need! And it would fit well Monday nights at 9:00. After all, who can like Every Loves Raymond anyway? At least put something on the timeslot to liven it up. ^_^
your official Ray Romano in all shows and movies hater signing off. ^_^

Home Movies is a great series, I like the second half of Season 2 a lot more than the other episodes.

I love Home Movies. It's the only thing i watch on sundays.
The character interaction is great. It's not like a show thats just doing stupid things to try and be funny (Ex:South Park, I don't find funny at all)
The characters act more natural and act like silly kids and the Coach is great. A troubled coach. Love the show.
I agree that it sometimes it isn't very funny but rarely. Still better than any other ASC show.

One of my favorite episodes was the one where Brendon was run over by the rich couples' car. It stunk that he got in trouble for it, but it was a good satire on how lacking in common sense the legal sytem can be . It also made me laugh a lot. Especially Brendon's video apology. I loved that song:
"Don't kill children, don't run them over!
Let them live their lives and let them get older!":D
