First of all nobody here cares if PC gets new episodes. Second, you actually belive someone who posts on a message board with the name annomyous who says his friends dad is working on it. :p

Second of all, judging from the age maturity of the other posters, isn't it a little past their bedtime to watch the show?

IF any more episodes of the show were to be produced, they would not air in America. CN wasted money in buying the series to begin with, and they're not just going to throw around money again.

(EDIT: Changed "your" to "their".. it's amazing how a simple word typo can change the tone of the entire message. Sorry about that, jester.)

I've heard that an OAV was in production to finish the storyline. If this is true, seriously doubt it will end up in America let alone Cartoon Network.

Yes, the OAV is out in Japan. It's the 13th ep.

Your right, I should have e-mailed the person before posting, BUT I still believe it. If you want I'll e-mail this person to confirm it.

I'm sorry about the tone of my post. My mommy forgot to get me my bottle and I was a little upset. :p

Frankly, I'm not surprised about new PC. Nor am I surprised that the news could be fake. PC was able to continue their production mainly because their series has been watched throughout America. So, suspecting that there will be a larger audience overseas (such as Big O), they decided to take another chance with the series. Also, I'm not surprised if the news you posted was a fake, mainly because it takes tons of time to produce episodes and I don't think it could be finished that fast.

The same person who originally posted the news said the same thing on a different thread.

Quite honestly, I'm going to need more proof than the ever-so-common, "my friend told me so" before I believe it. Let us know when this is reported by a more reliable source. ;)

I'll report back with an e-mail from this person then.

If CN buys the new episodes of Pilot Candidate, they should put them on Toonami, where they belong. If, however, they decide to bring the new episodes to Adult Swim Action, then they should at least edit them to ASA standards and not torture us like we're freaking kids!

Sorry, didn't see this originally.

Ummm... even unedited, unfortunately the first season, or what we saw of it, would be AT BEST TV-14 nvl (BRIEF nudidty, violence, languge) I HOPE the second season has a lot better standards. BTW, still have yet to hear back from the person, shall keep you informed, if interested.

I take this news/rumor with good faith. If they air every episode correctly maybe I can finally make sense of this series and enjoy it.

Later.

I'd figure that even if new episodes were made, Bandai wouldn't go and waste money licensing them. I can certainly see a situation where its left along with those hundreds of other animes that never get released in America at all...

No way in hell Bandai would license it. The series has some of the worst buzz of any ever released. I doubt they'd make the same mistake twice.

I give it a 50-50 chance. seeing as though around 50% of the indepentent reviewers (and no, i don't have the web sites/magazines I'm estamating from what I've read) liked something about it and a second season might change some people's minds.

I do not foresee the additional episodes going far. PC did not do to well, and I doubt CN would be interested in the new episodes. The series was wasted, and I think CN would be nuts to chose to follow the same route again.

and I agree with you, but I'm hoping just for a DVD release. that just means that out of all of us, I would be able to find out the ending :D :p

Well, as I've told you in PMs, I'd watch a second season only if it had a new creative team and they scrapped all the old CGI. If they had a decent set of artists and used the CG in a more subtle manner rather than the way the original series handled it, I think the show could actually have a chance on ASA. The funny thing is, a lot of the things people whine about PC for also apply to Eva, but the Eva fanboys don't want to admit it.

That really depends on how well PC did in Japan. If the second season is great, then CN would be interested in airing the next season. It really depends on the ratings and how well it did. However, if the second season sucks, then you can bet your ass that it's not going to air again.

Well, i sent an e-mail to Bandai (US license holder) asking them if (in the hypothetic sense seeing as though i think the production company in japan hasn't told them about a second season) they would release PC2 on DVD. I have yet to receive an answer, but shall let you know.
