Baby Blues, Mission Hill, and now the Oblongs are all at Adult Swim. That leaves Invasion America out in the cold. Will WB's other animated series ever make it to ASA? I think it would be perfect on the line up.

Yes, we need Invasion America. And new episodes. I don't remember the series all that well, except that it was cool, that kid was so totally half-alien, and it ended with that massive cliffhanger.
Refresh my memory: Didn't the kid's Alien Prince Dad come back like right at the end? And weren't the bad aliens plotting something else sinister? I told ya, I don't really remember the details. Except that the Mom got sucked into that orb in the first episode. And then the kid ran away, and met the old guy, and the next thing I remember - pow! They're in space!
As for Undergrads, which I hated: Undergrads exsists in the same place as MTV's other vastly underappreciated (but far superior) animated show "Downtown". Somewhere in Viacom's massive tape vault located hundreds of miles beneath the earth's crust, these shows sit around and collect dust while "Road Rules/Real World Challenge 2002: Nothin' but the ******bags" airs non-stop. It's a shame that CN could never secure the rights to "MTV Downtown"...I loved that show. The main character reminded me of myself way too much. Plus, it even had better geek humor than "Welcome to Eltingville", like when the group of nerds stumbled into the "adults only" section at a comic book convention. "Assy?"

Alas I never saw INVASION AMERICA when it came on TV years back but I was always eager to watch it sooner or later. I would love if it prefered on ADULT SWIM ACTION so I could finally see what all the talk is about and decide for myself.

The WB once aired it in their prime time lineups, usually after Buffy the Vampire Slayer or 7th Heaven.
I thought it was pretty dull. Generic concept, generic characterizations, generic storytelling. Oh yeah, and the show barely had one female character in sight.
But if ASA needs new material to fill a timeslot, I don't see anything wrong with putting it on.

If you saw the first few episodes of Roswell, you got the gist of Invasion America. Luckily, they stopped it before it became another Dawson's Creek rip off like Roswell did. Invasion America's animation was nothing special, but it's plot and character development rivaled nearly any mainstream anime to come over so far. I would certainly see it as a welcome addition to ASA.

Back in...I'm guessing Summer of '98. It actually replaced "Dawson's Creek" during the summer, which I thought was really weird since every other kid at school watched that. Of course, back then the WB had some integrity (or a messed-up contract) and actually aired every episode despite the low ratings. They did cram the last two hours together to finish the run one week earlier. They later showed an edited (for language at the very least) version during Kids' WB! Saturday mornings, but I guess it tanked there too.

I would love to see it. It's hourlong format was most refreshing, the animation was solid, and it packs swearing, which we all know doesn't make shows adult... but doesn't hurt either. I believe it was Spielberg's project, and having seen it, I kinda wish he would dawdle in animation more. I mean, the man called Castle of Cagliostro one of the greatest films of all time... that's the kinda guy you want directing your animation.

Invasion America was just a short mini-series wasn't it? I can't believe I missed it when it came on. I remember the promos too. I'd love a chance to see it again on Adult Swim Action.

I don't remember it exactly. I do recall however there was special/ movie that was 1 hour/ 1hour 30 mins. in the WB's primetime rated TV PG. However, it then went to Kids' WB Saturday line-up with a TV Y7-FV rating. I don't remember it, but why not bring it back?
